It was the night before the party. Ethan and Tyler were still staying here.

It would be a lie to say that Ethan has warmed up. He still flinches at the slightest of touch, or whenever anyone raises their voice, even when it's just at a video game.
He speaks a little or not at all. His voice is always soft and quiet. I've also noticed that he'll answer you every time. Even when it's Jack who's asking.
One good thing is that Ethan has been able to adjust quite well. At first he followed Jack around like a lost puppy.
But now he's more independent.
I'm glad.

" Master, what do you want for dinner?" Jack casually asked while I whipped down the bench.

I herd him front the lounge were I was playing a game. I paused it and got up, my knees cracking as I did so. I stretched and made my way into the kitchen.

" Pizza? Like take out Pizza?" I asked more then stated.

" YES!" Tyler yelled from the other room where I think he was making a call.

I inwardly flinch at his loud voice. Tyler sometimes forgot how sensitive Ethan was. But I looked over to see the blue haired boy was playing with Chica our he back.

" Okay I'll call them up" Jack said while grabbing the home phone.

I smiled and slowly made my way outside, the sound of ordering behind me. I was glad that Seàn no longer felt the need to add that awful name after every sentence. It made me feel wrong.
The law is the law sure.
But still.

I slid the glass door to the side and stepped out into the warm air. The sun hit my skin and warmed it, making its way to my heart. I saw Ethan patting Chica and giving her belly rubs.

" Hey Ethan" I greeted as I sat next to him.

I saw the boy tense but then relax when he saw my kind demeanour. Ethan threw one of the dogs toys and the golden retriever, ran to go get it.

" Ethan can I ask you something?".

Ethan took the toy from the dog again and threw it.
He didn't ever make eye contact with me.

" Of course sir" He plainly said.

I looked up at the blue sky for a moment. The fluffy white clouds hung in the sky like leaves on trees. I always liked sunny days. It made me feel like the earth was warm along with my heart.

" Are you happy here? And don't give me the answer I want to here. Give me the answer you have" I asked softly, kindly.

The boy sat crossed legged and placed his hands in his lap. He observed Chica pulling her favourite toy apart, like he was thinking of something.

" Well, I suppose I'm as comfortable as I could be" He mumbled, rubbing the back of his head.

I filed my head to the side much like my dog did.
" What do you mean?".

Ethan sighed softly and started picking at the grass. I noticed his hands were shaking again and for a moment I felt worried that I was intimidating him. But I figured that everyone intimidated him, except Jack. No one could be afraid of little ol' Jackieboy.

" Tyler is the best Master I've ever had in my life. He's kind and he doesn't yell at me. But it would be a lie to say I didn't miss my family" He said solemnly.
