I can tell that Peeta's really trying to make Gale mad. he doesn't just kiss me like that for no reason. Well, he does, but I can tell this one isn't real. Which makes me upset, but I don't show. The last time he kissed me like that was when I was comforting him after one of his awful flashbacks. So this kiss means nothing. Just like in the arena for our first Hunger Games. I snap back to reality, and pull away from Peeta's kiss.

This time, Gale can't take it. He begins to raise his hand at Peeta, but then stops. He grins at Peeta. Before I can back away, Gale sweeps me off my feet and starts running. Peeta is still woozy from half drowning, wobbily gets up and starts running, but is way behind Gale and I. I pound on Gale's chest with my fists, and scream for him to put me down. Then, he gets to a place where he is sure Peeta can see us.

And he kisses me.

Infront of Peeta.

For a long time.

I'm shoving and hitting and pounding for hime to put me down, but Gale is way to strong for me to handle. I finally shove him hard enough to break away from the kiss. I gasp for air and scream nasty words at him. "DAMN YOU GALE! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST--" before I can finish, he firmly puts his hand over my mouth. I scream and bite into his hand, but still, he won't take it off.

I look over at Peeta, who is still a bit far back, and I can see that heartbroken look in his eyes. Then they fire up, furious. He charges at Gale. Gale takes his hand off my mouth and snatches a tranquilizer gun from his belt. He must have took it from the peacekeepers. I try to take it away, but it's out of my reach. He points the tranquilizer gun at Peeta.

"NO! NO! NO! Gale, STOP!!" I shriek. But it's too late. The dart hits Peeta in the chest, and he blacks out and falls to the ground. "PEETA!!" I shriek. I am hitting Gale as hard as I can with my fists. He still won't put me down.

Then to my surprise, Gale takes out a rope and ties my hands and feet together. I struggle to get free until Gale ties a cloth over my mouth.

"Stop! I tied you up because I know you would run away before I could get done explaining." he says. He gently takes the cloth away from my mouth. "I don't want to hear it!" I hiss. "Untie me!" Gale begins talking as he unties me.

"Anyway, since when bread boy answered the door and said you went hunting, I came in the woods with a hunting rifle to look and hunt with you. The peacekeepers saw me, and when I saw you on the ground unconsious, I raised my gun to shoot them. They were afraid and said they honestly were trying to get you for the interview, but you kept running away so they had to tranquilize you. I said I would take it from there and make sure you got home in time for the interview. So they left." he says.

Just then, he finishes untying me and starts to talk again, but I don't let him finish. I spring up and bolt in differant directions, looking for Peeta.

"Katniss, wait!" I hear Gale yell in the distance, but I ignore him. Somewhere, alone, blacked out, lying in the woods in the dark is Peeta. He's uncountious, an animal could get him easily. "Peeta!" I yell. I turn around, and see something in the corner of my eye.

It's Peeta.

Not my Peeta, though.

The dark, horrible, clueless, scared, unpredictable, dangerous Peeta.

Huddled by a tree, shaking, eyes wild, is Peeta having a horrible, Capitol made flashback.
