I woke up late for school this morning and I had to rush before I was late. I was rushing down the hallway with fine minutes before the bell, when I bumped into someone.

I fell back on the floor. She turned around. "Honey, are you okay? Let me help you up!" She pulls me to my feet. "Thank you....?" "Cardi," she said. "Nicki. Nice to meet you Cardi. See you around." "See you girl!,"she said with a smile.
I barely make it to my seat before the bell rings. I breathe a sigh of relief and lay my head on my desk. Mama would kill me if I was ever late for a class. In all my years, I've never been late to school or class or never missed school or class. I was an AB student and I was a majorette at my old school.
Nearly everybody liked me back at home and those who didn't avoided me. Most of the people here seem friendly. My mind kept thinking about Beyoncé. I hadn't seen her yet today. A part of me hoped I did but another hoped I didn't. She easy on the eyes but hard on the attitude, and as I pretended to pay attention to the teacher, I could help but wonder if she felt the same about me.

My mind couldn't stop thinking about Nicki. She was like a mystery I needed to solve. I didn't know whether I wanted to kiss her or kick her ass. It was just something about her that drew me to her. At the same time, no matter how much I liked her I couldn't let her take my queen status.
If she acted right, she could've ruled beside me. Ever since Jay broke up with me I've been looking for someone to fill up the empty hole in my heart. I had invested so much time with Jay. He was my first kiss and my first time. I was heartbroken when he moved to New York.
After that I swore off men. I was so ashamed of giving away something so precious to someone who didn't deserve it. I didn't tell any one I lost my virginity. Not even Kelly or Michelle. I thought about suicide, but instead I channeled my shame into making a name for myself around the school instead feeling sorry about myself.
