For the first day I spent the time I had with BTS just watching them practice. They went over and over the same choreography so many times. I sat quietly, taking notes and jotting down ideas, watching the boys practice and have fun together.
"So," RM said as he breathed heavily, out of breath from dancing for so long. "what did you think?"
"Oh, you all work incredibly hard, i'm impressed."
"Thanks, still got some work to do on it but it's getting there." RM smiled.
"It'll be great, I'll see you all tomorrow." I waved as I left the room.Sat a home I went through my notes from the day, trying to remember all of their choreography, when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"HEYYYY!" Came a loud voice from the other side.
"Ouch, hi Cara." I laughed.
"Hi, tell me everything." She blurted out.
"Ha ha, cutting to the chase I see."
"Yep, now tell me about it, who are u working with first, are they amazing, what is it like there?" She asked.
"Well, dont kill me but im working with Bantan Sonyeondan." I answered.
"WHAT!!!!!! You're working with BTS? Lucky." She whined.
"Ha ha, thought you'd say that." I laughed.
"Tell me about them, tell me about Jin." She smiled.
"Well, we didn't really talk much, I just watched them practice for today, it was kinda awkward."
"You didnt talk to them? Why? I dont think id be able to shut up."
"Yeah but that's you, miss ARMY fangirl." I laughed.
"True. Is he really that handsome in real life?" Cara asked.
"Wow, you have no shame. I guess so, I didn't really take much notice."
"I know, seriously Yumi, you get to work with the most talented idols, my favorite group, and you don't take more notice? How is that humanly possible? You have to take more notice tomorrow and tell me all about it." She ranted.
"ha ha, ok, i'll try, but I have to work as well." I smiled.
"Cool, so besides not talking to them, what can you tell me?" She persisted.
"Well, they work really hard, they're very loud, and they're great dancers." I started.
"Have you heard them sing yet?" Cara asked.
"Only on the recording they were dancing to, it was really good."
"I told you they were good." She giggled.
"Never said they weren't. I have to get back to work now, I need to make sure I have everything ready for tomorrow."
"ok, talk soon, i'll be waiting for updates." She said.
"Ha ha, sure, bye." I laughed.
"BYEEE." Cara replied cheerfully.Right, back to work.
Jungkook's pov.
"The new choreographer seems cool." Jimin said to the group as they walked back to their dorms. "Don't you think?"
"Yeah, she seems alright, I think Jungkook was too busy staring at her to really notice." Taehyung laughed.
"I wasn't staring at her." I protested.
"Sure Kookie, of course you weren't." Taehyung laughed.
"Shut up, you know i'm not good with new people." I whined.
"Naww, its wittle Kookie shy?" J-Hope mocked and the group laughed.
"Not funny." I pouted.
"Alright guys, leave Jungkook alone. He can't help that he's young." Namjoon giggled.
"NAMJOON." I shouted.
"Ha ha, sorry Jungkook, it's just so funny to see you blush." He laughed.
"I'm not blushing." I said, covering my face reflexively.
"Sure." RM laughed as we reached our dorms.
"What ever." I said opening the door and walking away.'Ahh why can't I get her out of my head?" I thought to myself, running my hands through my hair in frustration.
There was nothing special about her, she was just a choreographer. She was average height, she had normal facial features, warm brown hair that came down to her mid back, dark chocolate eyes that glistened with hope and happiness and a bright smile that could lighten the whole world.
"Snap out of it Jungkook." I said to myself, smaking my cheeks.
"What's wrong with you today? Just focus on your work."The next day.
Yumi's pov."Hey guys." I smiled to the boys as the entered the dance room.
"Hey." They replied.
"Why don't you warm up for a few minutes whilst i finish setting up the speakers?" I asked them.
"Cool." They replied and off they went.'Today will be the first day I actually help them with their choreography, I hope I do a good job.' I thought to myself, nerves rising up once again.
"Ok guys, whilst I was watching you yesterday I noticed a few points when you could improve and got an idea or two for a few things you could add." I began. "So I would like it if you could run through the choreo again and i'll point out where they are."
"Sure, sounds good to me." Jin smiled.
"Yeah, lets get started." Suga added.
"Ok, lets start." I smiled. "The first part is during Jungkook's first part J-Hope could you move slightly closer to RM to even the gaps out?" I asked.
"Sure." He smiled, stepping into position.
"Also, I think it would make the choreo a little better if on 'Pay' and 'Baee' if you maybe flicked you heads to the side so it's not just stepping side to side." I suggested.
"Lets try it." RM instructed the group."That definitely looks better." Jimin smiled.
"Yeah." They agreed.
"Ok, next part. At the end of Jin's first part, right before Jungkook starts, Jimin needs to move slightly closer to close up the gap and also during the first 'Yolo' part you need to move closer." I said looking at Jimin.
"Ok, i'll make sure I remember to go closer." Jimin nodded.
"And finally, on the last to sets of where it goes 'gominboda go', Jungkook, you were a bit faster than everyone else, make sure to slow down a little bit and not rush it." I instructed.
"Uh, yeah, s-sure." He stuttered.
"Ok, that's it I think, lets run through it one more time." I said as I walked over to the speakers and pressed play.J-Hope is closer, they flicked their heads to the side and Jimin's closer. Jungkook is slightly slower.
"Not bad, but Jungkook, you're slightly too fast at the end."
"Uh, s-sorry." He mumbled, looking down.
"It's fine, just make sure you work on that a bit more, lets run through it again." I smiled. We went through the choreo over and over again, but Jungkook couldn't seem to get it right.
"Alright, that does it for today, you did very well." I smiled at them. "Go cool down and you can go."
The boys began their cool down exercises and we soon filtered out of the dance room.Jungkook's pov.
'Whats wrong with me, why couldn't I get that one simple thing right?' I thought to myself.
"Hey Jungkook, is there something on your mind? You seemed really distracted in during practice today." Jimin asked, concern in his eyes.
"No nothing's on my mind, I'm just really tired today." I replied, faking a yawn.
"You sure? You know you can always talk to me if there is." Jimin said.
"I'm sure and thanks." I assured him.
I felt bad lying to him, but I didn't see the point in telling him, this will all pass in a day or two, it's just nerves of meeting a new person.Yumi's pov.
"Yumi, we have another job for you." Kang-Dae started. "We need you to teach English, our English language teachers are busy with different idols and a ones on maternity leave so we need someone to fill the spot."
"Are you sure, I've never taught a language before."
"I'm sure, you speak fluent English and Korean, and all you really have to do is explain it as most of the information is in the booklets you will work from, you'll do fine." Kang-Dae explained.
"Ok, who am I teaching?" I asked.
"You will be teaching Jungkook and Jin. You will teach them when the other has vocal training, a new schedule has been emailed to you. Your first lesson is at 5pm with Jungkook in room L3." Kang-Dae explained.
"Ok, thank you."
"Don't worry about it, you'll be fine and it will be a good way to get to know them better." He smiled and walked away.
"Sure." I sighed, there is no way I'm going to make a good language teacher.I headed down to room L3 ten minutes early to make sure that I didn't get lost spend I sat and waited for Jungkook to arrive, butterflies fluttered frantically in my stomach. 'Why am I so nervous?' I asked myself. 'It must just be because you've never taught a language before.' I assured myself.
This was when Jungkook walked through the door. He just stopped and stared, and I stared back, unable to speak.
Jungkook's pov.
My English lessons were starting today and my first lesson was about to start. I walked into room L3 where my lessons were going to be, and stopped. Before me sat Yumi. Panic washed over my body. I could feel my cheeks turning red. 'WHY IS SHE HERE?' I thought.
