Here is a synopsis of "This Girl's Secret" (formerly "Her Terrifying Love") told with Instagram posts.

A little girl with a head of strawberry ringlets appeared. She clamped Lyla Perry's wrist. A devilish flame flickered in her chestnut eyes. Though Lyla was a high school senior, she couldn't break free. "You better put the ring on before he gets here," the ominous girl warned. "He's gonna be mad."

Lyla could see it now. This was an old soul who wore the child like a mask. Lyla shrieked.

FIVE WEEKS EARLIER...

It was Saturday night and Lyla was bored AF. It seemed that every post she read on FB, Instagram, and Twitter was about "the party." EVERY-body was going. She knew her dad would be mad if she took her crippled old car, but she needed to get out of the house. Just for a few hours.

So she drove out to a farm where the most popular kids at school were partying hard. A huge bonfire was blazing. Cheerleaders and jocks were making out between keg stands. A circle of raucous kids played fuzzy duck.

When her creepy ex-boyfriend, Keenan, appeared from the shadows, she tried to ice him out. But he persisted. That was just the way Keenan was. Nobody ever told him no. He leaned in for a kiss. She wasn't having it. Lyla knew that she had to get out of there.
