Chapter 1

Emily's POV

My best friend Melody and I were packing for our two month road trip up to the west coast, going from concert to concert, finishing in Cali.

"What if we meet him, I mean in person?" Melody asked excitedly. She hadn't been to a concert before, but her mum agreed to let her go if I did.

I had nearly finished packing my bags but decided to help Melody because it seemed that there was an endless list of questions about clothing choices that I would have to endure if I didn't help.

We turned up the radio for "inspiration", but unfortunately the nurses that live in the apartment next door didn't appreciate the same genre of music that we did.

We finally finished packing our bags and decided to stock up our snack supply for the car rides. Mel grabbed a bag of chips and I grabbed the jar of Nutella.

After doing this we thought we were ready to leave, so we drove over to our parents house to say goodbye. Both of our parents tried to convince us that staying here was safer, but couldn't sway us. We left half an hour after on the journey of our lifetimes.
