The Next Day

Y/n P.O.V.
Neo and I fell asleep on the couch and with her head on my lap. And naked too. I did my best to avoid gazing at her private parts as I slowly moved her head out of the way so that I can stand up. It kinda worked, I woke her up a little and she just went back to sleep. I went to check on Neo's clothes but it's still a little wet. Might as well let her keep my shirt...

I make breakfast again for her and I hear a knock on the door. I walk up to Neo and take her parasol and unsheathe a sword. Woah, that's cool.

I walk up to the door and slowly open it with the sword in my other hand and I peek around to see the doctor.

"Hey, doc, how's the trip?" "Good, good. I brought some clothes for your little friend there."

I turn around to see Neo slowly waking up.

"Morning.", I greet. She smiles at me and I take the clothes from the doc. I give it to Neo along with her underwears and she grabs a pillow to cover her body and went upstairs.

"How is she?" The doctor asks. I try to smile but I can't. Not after what happened to her yesterday. "She's going to be alright." I reply.

I just can't help thinking about Neo and what she's going through. I just want her to feel alright again.

Neo P.O.V.
I put on my underwears and look at the mirror whilst fixing my hair. I put on a skirt and a jacket and zip it up. I go downstairs and I see y/n talking with the doctor.

"Hey, Neo, how's the ribcage?" Y/n asks. I touch a part of it and I don't feel any pain. Guess my aura regenerated quickly. I give him a thumbs-up as a response. Then the doctor spoke, "That's good to know. Anyways, y/n, I saw the police just a few miles down the road when I was going back here." He stared at me and y/n. "I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave. I'm so sorry."

Y/n gave a deep sigh and looked at me. "It's alright, doc. I know you want your safety and we'll oblige to your request. Neo, grab your clothes, we're leaving."

Y/n grabbed his clothes and I grabbed mine then the doctor gave us a bag for each other. I grabbed my phone, charger, and clothes and put it in the bag. Y/n packed his stuff and some food given by the doctor.

We both shook hands with him and before we could say goodbye, y/n talked to the doctor.

"Hey, Mr. Carmine, say hi to your kids for me." "I will. Eventually."

Carmine? I think I heard that name somewhere. Maybe Beacon. About a year ago.

We were on the road now. Looking for somewhere to stay.

Y/n P.O.V.
We left the doctor's house and walked to somewhere much safer than this place.

Then we heard a convoy and we searched for somewhere to hide. They went from house to house while we went from cover to cover. We were running away from them yet they seem to know the next place we were in. We eventually escaped them and we were off.

We walked to wherever our feet could take us before we could get tired. We walked for an hour still surrounded by forests. I notice Neo is getting kind of tired so I decided we should rest for now.

She took her bag and set it down near a tree and she took her normal clothes. She took her phone and messaged me.

"No peeking"

I give her a thumbs-up and she went behind the tree. I set down my bag and check it if I actually packed food. Seems alright. Probably will last for a few days. Then, Neo walked up to me with the clothes she previously wore and squatted down.

I take a piece of bread and offer it to her. She took it and started eating. I just remembered that we both didn't have breakfast. So that's why were tiring out quickly. I took three pieces and gave one to Neo again. We were just sitting there eating bread for a few minutes and we were walking again.

40 minutes of walking later~

The heat of the sun were stressing us both. If we continue walking without drinking water, we'll eventually faint.

Neo P.O.V.
God, this sun is killing me even if we were using the parasol. Just then, I heard what seems to be a stream. I looked at y/n and I think we were both hearing it. We followed the sound and after going through some rough patches, we found water.

"Ladies first." Y/n says. I smile at him and walk up to the stream and scoop up some water. I drank it and it never tasted this good. We were both now drinking and then y/n splashed some on his face and sighed heavily. I can tell he was relieved.

I look at him and I can't stop smiling a little at him. I blush a little. I can't believe it, we were enemies about 2 days ago and now, we're working together. He also took care of me when I was hurt. I just can't believe he was convicted of a crime he didn't do. He's such a warm-hearted person.

Just then, we heard a rustle in the trees and y/n looks around, checking the surroundings. He then focused on a point between the trees. He pointed towards it and he draws his weapon. He signalled me to quiet down. Like I didn't do it for the rest of my life.

I unsheathe my sword and point it towards the area of interest. We readied to attack and waited for it to come out. I can't help but sweat a little. I grip the handle tighter and I look at y/n.

Just then, behind us, we heard some rustling.
