PT continued walking down the metaphorical street, stopping infront to the tailors shop. He realized where he was, he was at his father's employers old shop. A smile filled his face as he moved quickly to the window, not noticing himself at the very same place.
"It's Angelo's!" He said to himself, though the passersby couldn't hear him anyway.
He stood smiling at the little tailors shop, it was home for most of his life and he missed the simplicity of it. He sighed, finally noticing himself, he jumped in shock, and then looking above the child version of himself, saw his father. He listened, he was being reprimanded..... for something or other, he didn't know.
"-you'll never be anything Phineas!" His father said harshly, "not if you don't get your head out of the clouds!"
"But father!-" the younger of the pair started, flinching when his father raised a hand, to strike.
"You will not talk back to me, Phineas!" His father growled.
"Yes father," he said lowering his head in shame, "but my name is P.T," he muttered quietly.
"What was that?" His father asked angrily.
"Nothing, sir," PT said when softer than before.
"That's what I thought," his father said with a stiff nod.
The tall man lead them away from the shop, toward the train station, "come on  Phineas! We can't miss the train!"
The older PT sat down on the curb, putting his head in his hands, "maybe he was right, maybe I am nothing," he said quietly.
*BACK TO CHARITY*
The doctor had walked her out of the building, giving her a lingering goodbye, which she had no use for. She loved her husband, she really did, but it was so hard without him.... No she told herself, you aren't going to think like that! She sighed and headed home, the girls were at her parents, so she didn't have to worry about them.
She let herself in, and looked down at their small dog, Bear, and gave him a quick scratch before moving on. She sat down in PTs place at the table, holding back her tears. "God Phin, why'd you have to be so stupid?" She asked the universe, since he couldn't answer. She stood, slowly, since an ache had spread through her whole body, and moved to the liquor cabinet, and poured herself a stiff drink. One turned to two, and two turned to however many.... she lost count. As she slowly drifted off a single thought passed  through her mind.... little did she know it was passing through her love's at the same time... I've got to find my way back to you, somehow....
