Jess was running out of the house, with a large amount of panic set in her bones.
"PICK UP THE PHONE TESS!!!" Jess was screaming at herself, as she ran into the garage that her house had. She picked the nearest car and jumped into the front seat, her phone wedged between her shoulder and ear.
Tess was not answering her phone and it was going straight to voicemail. Jess screamed in frustration and threw her phone into the passenger's seat. Jess fumbled with the keys in her hand trying to put them in the ignition.
The driver's door opening made Jess jump as tears were falling down her face.
Elias stood there, scooping the girl out of the driver's seat and placing her in the passengers.
Jess was shaking and gripping her phone as if it was a hail mary.
Elias started to calmly start the car and he started to drive and rush to Tessa's house.
Once they arrived, Jess shoved the door open and screamed Tessa's name as she threw the front door open.
The house was silent and Jess stood there listening for the slightest sound of movement in the house. Jess slowly started to walk up the stairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
"Tessa?" a broken sob escaped Jess's lips.
Jess walked into Tess's room and gasped at the sight. Clothes were thrown all over the floor, and her vanity mirror was smashed into pieces. Pictures were ripped off the wall and torn to shreds.
"TESSA!!" Jess screamed as she ran into the bathroom that Tess used. As Jess walked into the bathroom, she got a memory of when it was HomeComing. Jess remembered that they both had matching black and white dresses that were created by the best designer in town. Tess had done the hair and makeup while Jess had supplied the dresses and the corsages.
The memory ended as Jess saw the most horrific sight she has ever seen. A scream erupted from her throat, that left her voice hoarse for days.
Tessa was on the floor surrounded by a pool of blood coming from her wrists, thighs, and stomach.
Jess fell to her knees trying to wake up her best friend, her sister.
Jess continued to scream as she was being pulled off and away from her best friend.
Elias had already called the authorities and they were very close to arriving. Jess screamed at the top of her lungs, tears, and heartbreak radiating from her body.
Jess hated the world at that very moment for taking away the most important thing from her.
The paramedics had arrived and announced that Tess was D.O.A.
Jess screamed and shook in pain, all the while being held in Elias's arms as he was holding her together.
Jess screamed and screamed until she had lost her voice. Her light in the world had left her.
Jess knew that Mary was going to get what she deserved. Jess would assure it.
