Prolouge

Trini's POV

    Most of you may think this is just some story from a book, but this is a true story. Before we start, my name is Trinity Kwan, Trini for short. This is a story about love, trust, friendship, and determination.

*FLASHBACK*

I was on my way to the community playground to meet up with my friends Jason, Billy, Zack and Kimberly. When I get there I hug them all and we start running around like normal 10 year olds do. I was on the swing when someone grabbed the chain and yanked me off. "Hey thats not cool man!!" I yell as a tall blonde girl takes my place on the swing. "Whatcha gonna do about it twerp?" the girl said. I stood up and brushed myself off. I started to walk towards the girl when someone grabbed my arms and held me back. "Don't even think about it shortstack." I heard a boys voice this time and turned around to see a semi tall boy with black hair swooped in front of his face. "KIMMY!!!" I scream. I see her running and she pushes the boy off of me. "Leave her alone! You have no right to hold her like that!" she yells while keeping between me and the boy. Jason, Billy and Zack come running up and step in front of Kimberly so she can see if im okai. The blonde girl gets off the swing and stands next to the boy. "Why don't you twerps go find somewhere else to play. This is our place now." she says, towering over the boys with her abnormal height. Billy squeals and hides behind Jason and Zack. I look up and see 8 other girls and 4 other boys coming this way. This must be their gang of brats. "Do we have a problem here?" the girl with the green eyes asks. Kimberly stands up and walks to her. "As a matter of fact we do. The giant over there pushed my Trini off the swing for no reason!" I smile at the sound of her saying 'my Trini'. "We cant control what Dinah does. But how about this. We settle this out with a little turf war. Lets make an obstacle course and whichever team makes it through it first gets to keep the park. The loser has to stay away from the park forever. We have a deal?" the green eyed girl stated. Kim stuck her hand out so the green eyed girl can shake on it.

*2 HOURS LATER*

After the boys set up the obstacle course we set some rules. "Okai here are some ground rules. The people chosen must fully complete the obstacle course in order to win the playground. No skipping obstacles or getting help. Got it?" the green eyed girl, now introduced as Lauren, said. We all nodded and got into position. It was Kim versus Lauren, me versus a girl named Jade, and Jason versus the boy who grabbed me, now known as Zayn. Dinah grabbed a small flag from the top of the playground and started counting down from five. When she got to one Kim and Lauren took off. "Go Kimmy!!!!" I scream. I see her smirk and as she turns the corner she jumps up on the ladder to get to the slide. She slides down and finishes the obstacle course first causing me and the boys to cheer. I run and hug Kim and kiss her cheek. "You did great out there Kimmy." I told her after we broke from the hug. Next up was Jason and Zayn. Due to Jason being on the baseball team he also won. Now it was my turn. I get to the starting line and when I see the flag to down to Dinah's waist I took off like a bullet and went through the obstacle course. As I turned the corner I didn't see a rock in the trail. I tripped and fell on the ground hearing a snap coming from my wrist. I skid a few feet and stop, hearing someone say my name. I try to sit up but feel a strong pain in my wrist causing me to scream in pain. "TRINI!!! Are you okai?" I faintly hear kims voice. "Kimmy? Is that you?" I feel someone grab my left hand and can automatically tell its kim. "I think my right arm is broken.." I feel Kimmy pick me up and I know we are on the way to the hospital. After a few minutes the pain got to me and I black out.

Kimberly's POV

I'm carrying Trini and she goes limp. I look at her and see she passed out, probably from the pain. I stop for a second and put her head on my shoulder. I get to the hospital with her and tell the nurse she broke her arm and passed out from the pain. They get a Gurney for her and I follow them in case she wakes up while they reset her arm. I watched as they set up her IV and reset her arm. After a few minutes her dad runs in seeing his little girl with a cast on her arm and cuts and scratches. "Kimberly what happened?" he asked me as they wrap her arm. I explained the whole new kids picking on her and the deal and obstacle course. "Thank you for telling me what happened. I want to thank you for being a good friend to her. Are the boys out in the waiting room? I didnt see them." I shook my head. "They are at the park trying to deal with the new kids." I tell him. He nods and checks his phone. "Well if you guys want to come to the house when they release her. We want to talk to you guys about something." he tells me as he puts his phone away. I nod and turn towards Trini. I squeeze her non broken hand lightly to see if she would react to it. A minute later I felt her squeeze my hand causing me to jump from the reaction. "Trini? Trin wake up." I say. She groans and lets go of my hand to rub her eyes. "Where am I?" she groans as she tries to sit up. "Youre at the hospital sweetie. Kimberly brought you here and the doctor called us. Your mom had to stay home with the twins though. But im here." her dad said, standing to be next to his daughter. She feels a weight on her right arm and sees that she has on a yellow cast, courtesy of me for telling the doctor her favorite color. The doctor had left some markers for the cast to be signed by Trini's friends when she woke up. I get up and grabs the pink sharpie write a cute note on her cast. "'To the bravest girl ever <3 kimmy'" I say as I write the cute message. After a while of me, Trini, and her dad talking the doctor comes in and says she can be released. A nurse comes in with him and unhooks her from the IV. When we get to Mr. Kwan's car I sit in the back with Trini. "Mr. Kwan can we stop by the park real quick? I left some stuff there and also the boys are still there." I ask her dad. He nods and we drive to the park to see the boys holding our stuff and I look closer to see Jason has blood on him. "Jason oh my god!" I yell as I get out of the car. "Are you okai guys? What happened??" Billy explains everything and we pile into the car. Billy in the front, Trini, me, Jason, and Zack in the back. Trini sits on my lap and cuddles into me. Her dad looks in the rearview mirror and smiles. When we get to Trini's house, we pile out and walk into the living room and sit on the couch while Trini's dad talks to her mom. They walk in and it down with us. "Guys we want to tell you something. Its going to be a little hard for all of you, but we think its best for Trini and the boys."

Trini's POV

"We are moving." My mom said after my dad told us they needed to tell us something. "WHAT?!?" I yell, standing up and facing my parents. "Why are we moving we are perfectly happy here!!" Kim grabs my waist and sits me on her lap as i start crying. "Trini we were planning on moving anyway and the whole park incident today just made our desicion final." My mom said. "We will get you a phone so you can talk to your friends still but we arent changing our minds about this." I bury my face into Kims neck and just cry, my yellow cast pressed to her chest trying to grip her shirt. "Hey its going to be okai. I promise you'll be okai." I look at Kim and smile. I bury my face into her neck again. "I love you kimmy." I say into her neck. My mom and dad get up and go check on the twins. "Do you guys want to watch a movie? Ya know to get our minds off of the situation for a bit." Jason said. We all nod and he puts in a comedy that's kid friendly. I stay cuddled into Kim and slightly turn my head to see the tv. My dad comes out with some blankets and covers us all up. "Do y'all want some snacks? I could make some popcorn if you want any." We all nod and he goes and makes us some popcorn. We watch some movies until the boys had to leave. "Bye guys. Im gonna miss you." I say as I hug them, trying my hardest not to cry again. I turn to my dad. "Can kimmy stay the night please??" I give him puppy dog eyes and he nods. "Have her call her parents first so they know where she is." He said as he walked away. She calls her mom and dad and they both say yes causing me to smile. "Lets go hang in my room for a bit before we eat." We go to my room and lay on my bed and cuddle. "Im going to miss you the most kimmy. Its going to be hard not being able to see you every day." I look up and see her face red and puffy, and then notice the tears streaming down her face. "Awee Kimmy.. Please dont cry. Its okai. Im still here." I swing my leg over her waist and wipe the tears from her face. I lean closer to look at the features on her face. Her bright brown eyes shining in the light of my lamp. Her round button nose and her round chubby cheeks. Her soft pink lips. Oh how they look to kissable right now. I lean closer and close my eyes as I feel her soft lips on mine.

                  *SKIP TO MOVING DAY*
"Im going to miss you so much Trin." Kim says as she helps me put my bags in the car. I pull her into a hug and hold her as close to me as I could. "I love you Kimmy. Dont forget that." I tell her, kissing her cheek really close to her lips. "I have something for you to think of me." She says. She pulls out a pink beanie with a yellow lightning bolt in the middle. "My mom helped me customize it at the mall. I thought it was cool since it has your and my favorite colors." She slips the beanie on my head and pulls out her new cell phone and takes a picture. "My favorite color on my favorite girl." I smile and hug her again. I get in the car and buckle up next to the twins. Kim steps back as the door closes and we drive away. I look back until i cant see kimberly again. Heres to a new life.
