Chapter 2

Trini's POV

After we left Krispy Kreme, we went and saw the new Power Rangers movie. I had to admit the girl who played the yellow ranger was cute but the pink ranger was really hot. I get back home and sit down with my family for dinner. "So Trini, how was school?" My dad asked. "It was good. I saw some kids that I knew before we moved, the day I broke my arm. They took me under their wing and let me hang out with them." he nods and smiles. "Your mom said you went to Angel Grove to go see a movie? Did you see anyone you know?" I glare at him lightly. Its like he knows I ran into Kimberly. I put my banana down and get up. "I'll be in my room if you need me." I walk upstairs and plop on my bed. My phone buzzes and I unlock it to see that an unknown number texted me.

Unknown:

hey trini

Trini:

who is this?

Unknown:

its Kim.

Trini:

oh. Howd you get my number?

Kim:

I ran into your dad yesterday. He was getting donuts before work and gave me your number

Trini:

of course he did. I knew something was up with him at dinner. Look I gtg

Kim:

okai.. Bye

I get off my bed and look for my dad. I find him in the living room watching football. "Dad can I talk to you?" I ask and sit next to him. "Sure sweety. What do you want to talk about?" "I wanna know why you gave Kimberly Hart my number?" he turns and looks at me like I have two heads. "She's your friend Trinity, I thought you might want to reconnect with her again seeing as you still wear the beanie she gave you four years ago. I know you still think about her everyday." I sigh and cover my face. He's right but I can't admit that. "Well I can't really talk to her. The group im in despises Anyone from AGH. So if I get caught talking to her, I'd never hear the end of it.". I groan and get up. "Im gonna take a shower and then go to bed." I go to my room and take a shower while blasting slingshot by Lil Xan. After I dry off my phone goes off.

Kim:
Hey i need to talk to you. Meet me at the swings where we hung out?

Trini:
Sure. Ill be there soon.

I get dressed in some skinny jeans and a tank top. I turn off my light and lock my door before climbing out of my window and going to the nearest bus stop.

When I got to the park that brought so many memories back, I went straight to the swings to see Kimberly Hart sitting on the same swing that Dinah pushed me off that day. I quietly come up behind her and grab her waist causing her to shriek and almost fall off the swing, causing me to drop with laughter. "That wasn't funny! What if it wasn't you and I got kidnapped?" I stand up and sit on the swing next to her. "I would probably kick their ass, once I found you that is." she huffs and I smile. "So what's with the impromptu met up Ms. Hart?" she turns and smiles, not taking her eyes off of me. "I missed you of course. And it would probably be easier to talk to you now instead of trying while you're with your "friends"." she said and put finger quotes around friends. I raise my eyebrow and sit on the swing next to her. "And what did you want to talk about?" I said as I get settled into the swing. I feel her grab my hand and pull me to look at her. "I missed you so much Trini.. Like a lot. I could never stop thinking about you when you left. I will even admit to lurking on your facebook page when I saw you made one. Please tell me you missed me too." I look in her eyes then flickered to her lips for a millisecond before smiling. "Of course I missed you Hart. Do you not remember what happened the night we found out I was moving?" I smiled at the memory. It was the best memory I could ever have during my childhood. It was my first kiss and I could never forget that moment as long as I lived."Of course I remember that. It was one of the best memories I've ever had." she said. I stood up and walked towards her and stood in between her legs. "Leaving you was one of the hardest things I had to do.. But I may have to do it again.. I cant be seen around you kim. I want to hang out with you but I cant. Im sorry.." I walk away and I turn a corner and turn back to see if she left. Shes still sitting there and staring at the space I was standing in and I hear the worst sob come out of her mouth. She drops off the swing onto her knees and just sobs. Without thinking I run back and hold her until she falls asleep from crying. I pick her up and take her to her car. I put her in the front seat and get into the drivers seat. I turn the car on and drive the route to the sleeping girls house. I stop the car when I get there and slowly get the sleeping girl on my back. I quietly open the door and walk in to see her mom and dad sitting on the couch watching TV. I freeze when I see them turn at the noise. "Why hello Trini. It's been a while since we've seen you around. How are you?" "I'm good thanks for asking. Is it alright if I go put her in her bed? It's been a long night." They nod and I quickly go upstairs to her room and change her clothes and put her under the covers.  I lightly kiss her head and write a quick note on a sticky pad and stick it to her forehead. I go back downstairs and am met with her parents yet again. "I called your father and let him know that you are allowed to stay the night if you want." Mr. Hart said. "Thanks but I should really get home. May I please get a ride?" He nods and grabs his keys. We start driving and I tell him the way to get to my house. "Thank you for the ride, I really appreciate it." I say as we drive. "It's totally fine Trini. You helped my little girl get home safely. Just know you're always welcome at our house." We get to my house and I unbuckle and open the car door. "Thank you once again. And please tell Kim that I'm sorry.." I get out and close the door. I get to the front door and open it. I turn and wave before closing the front door. I pass the living room and see my dad still sitting on the couch. "You did a good thing not leaving Kim at the park alone. I'm proud of you even though you did sneak out. Please tell me next time if you're leaving. I care for your safety." I nod and give him a quick hug. "Now I'm going to bed. Good night." I go upstairs and change into pajamas and get into bed. I lay there and think for a bit about Kimberly until I end up falling asleep with the brunette on my mind
