I woke up from a peaceful slumber by the claws of my older sister.. "Play with me, I'm bored." she would plea until I finally got up, which would follow by a "Yay!" I stood up and almost toppled the cat.
"What game today?" I said, still groggy. I thought maybe a game of Peek-a-boo, or Rock, Leaf, Tooth, or maybe even races, but I wasn't so ready for little Ebony's answer.
"Hide and seek! But this time, OUTSIDE!" She suggested,. I wasn't so sure, since we could get lost, but I went with it anyways. She carried my little chubby gray body outside. We passed through the little door the dogs go through, and we were out in the daylight.
"Behind the fence! We'll go behind there." She pointed her snout at the gap in between parts of the cracked, old wood fence. I couldn't resist, so that's where we went.
"I'll hide! You count!" She hopped. She ran underneath the hole and bolted to the left.
10...9...8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1.. "I'm coming for you!" I laughed. I slid underneath the unsupported wood beams that made up our fence and followed where I thought she went. I couldn't find her. I never knew she was so clever at hiding places. I kept searching, and searching, for hours upon hours, and couldn't find her. Then, I smelt cats. My face lit up. Maybe they could tell me where Ebony is! I swiftly charged through the trees to where the scent was emitting from. I encountered a bunch of strange looking cats. Looks don't matter, right?
"Do you know where my sister is hiding? She looks like me except she has a lighter pattern on her back. Her name is Ebony." I asked. I'm hoping for an answer more than anything else in the world.
The cats looked at each other and laughed hysterically. "A kittypet can't find her sissy! Hah!" I heard one cackle. "I bet she ran away from you because you're such a DORK!" Another cried. "A KITTYPET'S in OUR FOREST! Kittypets don't belong here. Stop making fun of it and DO SOMETHING!" One snarled. He looked really scary, and I could tell everyone felt intimidated by him because they all stopped laughing, and one looked like he was going to cry.
Then, everyone ran at me, baring their claws and fangs, and I, I had nothing to do. I just had to sit there, waiting for it to all be over. Then, all of a sudden, as the forest cats were only an inch away from my precious face, I heard a "STOP!" from by the trees.
That's when I saw the most ugly cat on this planet.
"If you lay one measly claw on that poor kittypet, you're ALL going to Starclan." She hissed. Well, I still owe her, even if she looks like a mentally ill rat. The cats backed down with their tails under their stomachs and seperate ways. She walked up to me and apologized.
"You're in Fireclan territory. We get aggressive a lot. My name is Summitpaw. I'm an apprentice here at Fireclan. And that mean tom over there is Cheetahstar. He's my older brother, who is also the leader of Fireclan! And when he dies, I'LL be the leader!" She blabbered. She turned and walked away.
But then she stopped and looked back at me. "If you'd like to join Fireclan, I'll let you," then she winked at me and left for real. This has been the weirdest experience of my life.
