Cheryl's POV
I had no idea what was happening at this point, Toni was hugging me. Toni, as in the girl that called me a bitch just a few minutes ago. I didn't say anything to her for two reasons. One, I was confused and didn't know what to say. Two, I kind of liked her contact. It felt nice, it felt like somebody appreciated me. But why? She wouldn't appreciate me, Would she?
I decided to lean onto her a little more and then I wrapped my arms around her. She was rocking me gently. Honestly, I felt a little bit of happiness and comfort. Something that I hadn't felt for a very long time.
I sensed her looking at me so I moved my head to look. She was beautiful, gorgeous even. I had never seen somebody so beautiful and her eyes, well, I quickly got very lost. I was like a penguin in a hot desert, a lion in the Arctic. For a few minutes I was completely out of it, I couldn't tell what was going on. I saw her mouth moving but I couldn't hear anything, I was too fixated on her perfect facial features.
"Cheryl? Are you okay?.."Toni's POV
"Cheryl? Are you okay?.." I asked her. She was staring, I'm not complaining though. It gave me a chance to look at her properly. Her chocolate brown eyes had small sparkles in them. They were the eyes that could brighten anybody's day. I cleared my throat and loosened my grip on her, pushing her away from me slightly. She kept her grip on me though, almost as if she didn't want me to break up the hug. I felt her shuffle a little closer so I pulled her gently back towards me.
I realised that she hadn't answered my question. I didn't know whether she was okay or not. What was I thinking? Of course she isn't okay. If she was, she wouldn't be almost sat in a serpent's lap hugging them.
I pulled the red hair away from her face and tucked it behind her exposed ear. My fingers ran through her hair gently and she seemed to relax a little more. "Are you okay?" I asked again.
