We caught the next flight into Los Angeles and made our way to all the local hangout points. Many media outlets suggested that he was my older good looking brother, or that he was a long lost cousin that I had brought out to the coast to experience my new home.
We got to know each other over publicized dinner dates and late breakfasts in the hotspots within the city. It only took a week for the media to notice that we were not related after a few cases of public display of affection.
It was currently December fifteenth, and we sat at a small café on the beach in Los Angeles. While Dean completed his final assignment for the semester I sat opposite him on the table, scrolling through my Instagram feed. The first photo that came up when my feed loaded, was a photo of a digital artwork that was called 'Heartbreak for One.'
I looked at who posted it and noticed it was Blake. The cover art of the single was a photo of the four band members on the floor of Tristan's music room, with music lyrics spread around them on the floor. The four of them were lying in a circle with their heads touching in the center of the image, with the title of the single in the middle of the circle where there was a gap in-between their heads.
The caption read 'Available on all digital music sources tonight from 12am Eastern. We are back x.'
I shook my head at the thought of the song title being about me, stating that maybe I was the only one who was heartbroken out of the breakdown of the relationship between Tristan and myself.
"What's wrong? You've been staring at your phone for the past two minutes, as if someone has done something..." Dean asked. He reached across the table and grabbed my left hand with his right.
"Nothing!" I smiled and put my phone down.
We were both sipping on latte's as the wind blew past, and shook the umbrella standing above our table. It was getting quite cold and stormy and it was probably time to head back to my hotel room. Later today I was going house hunting as it had been hitting the near six month mark that I had been living in a hotel room, and it was getting quite costly to afford.
After getting around nearly two hundred thousand dollars per episode I had over two million stored away in my bank account, and I was looking to purchase a home on the coast for around one million dollars. Of course the paparazzi was speculating if I would be purchasing a house along the beach just like Tristan had, only his house was a five million dollar deal and I wanted something slightly smaller than his.

Nine days later on Christmas Eve, I purchased a one point four million dollar house on the coast near the beach. We managed to get a deal that allowed me to move the small amount of things I had into my new house before Christmas.
Dean travelled home to his family for Christmas and after changing my home address and alerting my family back home, I received a Christmas card of the three of them on New Years Eve.
The two weeks of Christmas and New Years were quite possibly the quietest weeks of my life as I slept on the floor due to not have purchased my furniture yet. Dean returned on the sixth of January and we were once again forced out into the public limelight.
In the recent weeks, Tristan's bands song had rose to number one on the first night of its release and it continued to top charts all over the world, smashing records for one of the most streamed songs of the year even though it was dropped late December. I still hadn't listened to it, because I knew it would hurt too much. Sometimes I wanted to pick up my phone and call him to congratulate him, but I knew he had been back to his old partying ways recently due to his success and it was likely to just go to his voicemail.
