Six years later

Finally meeting

Casie pov
I look at Ava. She was pretty. Ava was talking to uncle Slim.
"Hey." I walked up to her hoping she is nice. Some of the girls my dad has over are not always the nicest to me.
"Hey you must be casie." Ok she seems nice
"Yes im."
"You look so much like your father."
My dad goes over to her and hugs her. They all go to couch and i sit down next to her. They were talking about things I was not really listening to them.
"Ok not something a four year old should be listening to." Ava said
"Like she was even paying attention."Rook was right
"Damn you really think she should know about that." Said Uncle slim
"I don't know what you guys said." I was so confused
"Casie you don't need to know." My father looked at Rook and was not happy.
"Hey Casie, do you want to go swimming." Ava asked me
" YAH." I was happy I loved swimming.
"Ok, lets go."
I run into my room and get my suit. Ava is all really outside. My dad was with her they were making out.
"Child in the area." They pull away and he goes back inside. I jump in the pool. There was toys in the pool.
"Hey Casie can you swim."
"Yah but I'm not the best."
"Oh your dad told me a lot about you,"
"Oh he hasn't told me much about you." She laughed. Ava was sitting on the edge of the pool.
"Yah you're father is weird."
"I know, hey do you swim."
"Yes when I was younger I was on a swim team."
"Cool where are you from."
"Well I was born in Canada with my two brothers. I moved her when I was 12 then moved back home 2 years later."
"My dad told me, you two were friends before I was born."
"Yah back when him and your mom were together."
"Oh. My Mom didn't tell me what happened between them."
"I don't know that answer. That is a question for your mom or dad." She was nervous about my question.
"Yah I guess so but they never told me."
"They will probably tell you when you're older."
" I hate when adults say that." She laughed.
"Ava what was my dad like before I was born."
"Well he was always getting in trouble at school. Him and his dad didn't really get a long so he would try not to go home. But you dad is a great person who got dealt a bad hand."
"What does that mean."
"He never got the best chance."
"Oh. I was there when you found out you tweeted him, he seemed really happy."
"Oh he did."
"Yah he went to his room and didn't come out for a while."
"Ahah yah me and him were always good friends."
The boys came out of the house and started jumping in to the pool. Me and Ava were getting socked.
"You guys are really annoying sometimes." Ava was annoyed by them

Colson pov
We went outside. The guys started jumping in the pool so I pulled Ava in to the pool. She was mad so she started splashing me. I pulled her and hugged her.
"So what were you and Casie about."
"She asked about when you were younger and why you and her mother are not together."
"Oh what did you say."
"That it's a question to ask you or her mother."
"Oh ok. I don't know what to tell her if she asked."
"Wait till she is older and can understand it better."
"Thanks Ava you always know what to say."
"My Mom had a similar experience when she was telling me about my father. But I was 10 and I didn't really understand till two years ago."
"You never told me that story."
"I will later it's a long story."
"Ok babe."
I kissed her forehead and she got out of the pool and was talking to slim. I went to Casie.
"Hey cas, do you like Ava."
"Yah she seems nice, she likes you though."
"Ahah Casie are you ok with me having her around."
"Yah Daddy She makes you happy."
"Ok Casie. Hey if you don't like her you would tell me right."
"Yah Daddy."
I kissed her and she swam to Rook. He picked her up and and tossed her in the pool. Slim called me over.
"Yo what up slim."
"So what is up with Casie and Ava."
"Casie seems to like her and Ava likes Casie."
"So what is going on with you and Ava."
"Nothing we are dating."
"Have you said I love you to her."
"No not yet. You know everything goes wrong after I say those words."
" yah but you known her for a while and she is not your ex."
" yah I know but its hard."
"Ok dude just don't hurt her."
" I'm not going to."
Time skip
Rook and slim were making dinner and Casie was talking to her mom. Me and Ava were on the couch. She got up and went into the kitchen. Casie came over and sat on the couch.
"Hey princess how was your day."
"Good Daddy I like having Ava around."
"Good."
Dinner was ready so we got up and eat dinner. Casie was tired so she went to bed. Rook and his girlfriend were outside the others were playing video games. Ava was talking to her mom and brothers. I sat on the couch and watch the boys play the game. Ava said she was tired so she went to bed. The first day of having her around Casie turned out really well. I love them both, so I really want them to get a long. An hour later I went upstairs and Ava was sleeping. I got dressed and got in bed. I really hope that me and Ava stay together for a long time.
