Darkness

Chapter 8

It had been three weeks since Hazel had been brought into hospital with her would on her leg. She was feeling better physically, but mentally, she had got worse.

"So what even happened to you man?"
"Jack, I seriously don't know, that's why I'm so scared, one minute.I was walking and the next; I had a knife halfway through my thigh."
"But did you see who it was? And what was the note all about?"
"I really don't know dude, all I saw was a shadow fade away when I opened my eyes and saw the blade, but the note, I am seriously stumped on,"
"All of this is linked to Dan's death. And these notes we keep finding, who writes them?"
"I have no clue but this is freaking me out."

The two of them went to Hazel's house just to find an even worse surprise. The house was empty with a note on the floor saying:'re end is near , you survived, but novody else will.' The pair walked into the living room with their hearts pounding at a thousand beats per minute. In the living room the picture of Hazel's parents had an 'X' through their faces and a smear of blood over the picture.
"No, no, no, no, no, NO. It got my parents too."
"Hey Hazel it's gonna be okay," said Jack, wrapping his arms around her trying to comfort her.

The both of them knew whoever or whatever this thing was had took it one step too far. Taking the life of Dan and then going to do the same to Hazel AND to her parents. They both just wanted it to end, to get an easy way out, but there was no way out, unless that gets you........
