Lost[On Hold]

Chapter two

They rode the bus quietly to the ballet studio. Liz and Lynn watched the show cheering and applauding when they saw others doing so. But they obviously had fun talking about the way the girls lifted their bodies and legs.

After the show they went back stage with Diana to see her sister. Hailey was still in her tutu dress. Lynn held out the flower they had brought to Hailey.

You did a great job Hailey, Lynn said looking at her smiling.

Thank you for coming to my shoe she gave a very large heart warming smile. Then her eyes caught Liz standing behind Lynn looking afraid.

Lynn is that your sister? Hailey asked.

Yes, Lynn replied.

Hey I am Hailey, what is your name? Hailey said.

Hey Hailey I am Elizabeth but you can call me  Liz , Liz said almost inaudible.

OMG Liz what a nice name,  do you want to see a tour of the studio house Hailey said dragging Liz with her.

I will  love that Liz mumbled. Hailey quickly pulled Liz towards her other friends while Diana and Lynn walked behind them giving them space.

Lynn was worried about Liz because she had no friend except her books and her gadgets. Soon all the little girls in tutu said their byes and all four girls were already going out of the studio.

Can my sister give you guys a ride back home Hailey asked still holding Liz. They were both smiling.

Your way is out of our way, so we will just catch the bus, Lynn replied.

No problem Lynn I can go around and drop you in your house. Diana said.

Lynn looked at Liz and she saw her smiling then she nodded shyly before looking at her feet a behavior she was fond of.

Okay Lynn said.

Yay, Hailey screamed making everyone look at her.

Hailey had never met Liz before so the attraction she felt was something Diana and Lynn couldn't understand. Hailey never let go of Liz hand as they walked towards the car.

Diana took the drivers seat. Lynn sat at the shot gun and the Two girls sat at the back.  Diana put in her favourite artist album Bruno Mars.  Diana sang along and bobbed her head along with music.

Diana ,Hailey shouted

No need for you to shout I am right here you that right?  Diana said.

O sorry about that, but can I invite Liz to my slumber party tomorrow night?

Of course Hailey you can invite any one you like it is your party to you know that right?

Hailey I don't think Liz will like to come she doesn't really like crowded places Lynn spoke up.

It's okay Lynn I can manage and it will be my first slumber party. Liz said smiling again.

Hailey we will ask Meg if she can come and I will call Diana afterwards. Is that okay Hailey?  Lynn asked

Yes it is Hailey replied. But who is Meg?

Our mom Liz replied sharply then put her face down again.

You call your mom Meg that so cool Hailey said smiling. Lynn just shrugged and sat down very well taking in the music.

What a smile Lynn thought to herself.

Soon they parked in front of the house.  Liz and Lynn came out then Hailey came out and ran to Liz.

Liz can you call me Ha?

Of course, if that what you want Liz replied.

O and Liz please come to my slumber party okay?

Okay Liz said.

See you later Hailey said than hugged Liz before entering the car back.

Liz just stood there shocked. Only three people hugged her in her life and that was the family she lived with now. Her biological parents didn't even hug her because they didn't need her and now a complete stranger she met today hugged her.  She smiled to herself .

In the car.

Hailey why did you invite Liz you just met her today didn't you? Diana asked.

Yes I just met her but I liked her so much. Her red hair makes her look cute but I see that she is very shy aHailey said resting her back.

Yes, when she was brought from the orphanage -

She is adopted ? Hailey cut her before she could complete her statement.

Yes and she doesn't really have friends you know that?  Diana said.

I figured that Diana. Hailey said smiling. And I want to be her friend a best one at that.

Why?

I just like her.

At Lynn's house.

Do you like Hailey Lynn asked Liz as they made their way upstairs to change for dinner.

Yes I do she is very friendly and I want to go for the slumber party. Is it okay if I go?

Of course Liz it is wonderful we  will ask Meg at dinner . I am sure she will allow you to go. Lynn said and entered her room. Liz also entered her room.

Come down girls Megan shouted at the base if the stairs.

Soon the family was sitting for dinner, after saying grace they began to eat, Megan was an excellent cook and she had no job but she always filled her house with all forms of snacks and all the time Lynn had been here they had ordered only a few times when Megan had been sick and they had to lock her so she would cook.

Megan can I ask you something?  Liz asked.

Of course honey, Megan replied.

Hailey invited me for a slumber party tomorrow can I go?

Of course dear,  I will call to check with her parents. Okay.

Davis? Lynn said eating silently

Yes Lynn Davis replied

Can Liz go?  Lynn asked

Yes Lynn I wouldn't object Davis replied eating his food.

Meg,  I wanna go shopping with Liz tomorrow, do you think you can spare us a few dollars? Lynn asked

Does Liz want to go? Megan asked looking at Liz. Liz nodded and smiled.

Hell yeah, Davis will give you the money tomorrow.

Thanks Meg,  Davis.

No biggie dear,  Megan said.
