"You should forgive him. It's been four months since the incident." Audrey jabbed my side as she ordered us caramel lattes with extra foam. Wincing, I opened my mouth, but words didn't come out. Why haven't I forgiven him yet? "Are you going to say anything?" Her eyebrows raised, and I sat, speechless.

"Fine. But how do you expect to move on if you don't even acknowledge the fact that you are still in love with him?" My face started to burn and I clenched my fists in my lap.

"I'm not in love with him." I grinded my teeth together, my fists lost feeling in them.

Sighing, she looked me directly into my eyes. "I know you better than anyone else in this world. And I know, you aren't over him. That's why you won't let this go. You have to. For his sake, and for your own." Rage grew in my stomach and I felt like I was about to explode. She noticed and didn't move from her spot.

"..." My body was shaking, violently. How can she say this about me? She apparently doesn't know me well enough to know that I'm long over Dominic. There's nothing left for me to say about the subject.

"Alexis...?" Blinking, I looked at her.

"I have nothing to say about the subject." I stood up. "Thanks for taking me out for coffee. But I don't want to bugged about a topic that is long forgotten." I placed a twenty on the table and walked away. Her mouth was left agape as I realized what I had done. I looked at the sidewalk cracks, as I decided that it had to be done.

She'll forgive me eventually.

"Hey." Jeremy smiled wide, his teeth glistening in the sunlight.

"Hey." Smiling, pushing down the rage I had building up.

"You okay? You seem--"

"Like I'm faking it?" Frowning, I crossed my arms. "How do you always see through me?"

"You're as transparent as a window." He shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Yeah, and you're the exact opposite. Sometimes I think I know what you're feeling, but then, I think something else." Laughs, trying to figure him out. "You're just plain confusing. And those are the facts."

"What if I told you that I hide how I feel?" He said, smirking.
Laughing, I uncrossed my arms. "Noooo. Really?" I said, sarcastically.

"Yes." I tackled him to the ground, and he laughed, tickling me. Laughter overcame me, and I cried for him to stop. He shook his head and kept tickling me. Memories of being with Dominic flashed in my head, and the smile that was on my face disappeared. I started to stand up, and he noticed a mood change as he stood up too.

"What's up?" He wrapped his arms around my waist. His head laid on my shoulder, and I held my breath. He knows that's my weakness. "I won't let go unless you tell me..." He whispered against my neck. Goosebumps formed across that area, and I shivered.

"Audrey kept bugging me about the incident..." I sighed. He held me tightly in his arms.

"I'm sorry..." I turned around in his arms and reached my arms out, wrapping them gently against his neck.

"She doesn't know about us yet." I frowned. "I hate keeping secrets from her."

"It's only for a bit longer." He smiled as he leaned down to kiss me. I turned my face, forcing him to kiss my cheek.

"Hey, no pda in public. Someone will spot us." I pushed him away and laughed. "Later." I walked away, knowing I left him pouting. I turned back and saw his head tilt to the side while he had his lower lip hanging out. I giggled and ran over to him. He grabbed me and kissed me with as much passion as possible. My heart started to skip a beat and I let out a sigh. He smiled as I started to walk home.
