The next thing I hear is a rumble of cars coming down the road. Lois and I look up, seeing a large truck bulging towards us. I look closer and see Olivia and Caitlyn speeding towards us. Lois and I exchange glances, and we start to run. I can see my house a but away, so pull Lois with me towards my house. As we get inside, I yell at her to close all the windows and to lock all the doors. She does as I say, and then we huddle together in the bathroom, trying not to make a sound.
"OPEN UP!!! I know you are in there. I SAID OPEN UP!!!" I hear Caitlyn yell. We both stay quiet, being careful to not talk. Then Lois turns to me.
"I forgot to lock the attic window!" She tells me. I tell her it will be OK, that nothing bad will happen. But just as I say it, the attic door bursts open. I hear footsteps towards us, slow and heavy footsteps. They slam the door open, smiling as they see us. "It seems you have a friend, Carley. I bet she would love to go with you to Colorado." Caitlyn tells Lois.
"We will never go with you!" Lois screams. She stands up and punches Caitlyn in the face, making her bleed. She pushes Olivia into a door, making Olivia fall to the ground. She races towards the kitchen and grabs the phone from beside the fridge. She dials 911, telling them to come quickly. When the police show up, they come to the door with both mine and Lois's parents. They put Caitlyn and Olivia in handcuffs and take them away to the police car. I catch a glance at Olivia, and wonder if she will ever get her villainous gene cured.
My parents come and hug me. "Thank goodness you are alright! We were so nervous!"
They say to me. I am finally home, I tell myself.
Finally home.
