I have gotten a ton of private messages asking me to share things about myself and why I write, so here it goes because I don't know really what to say.
I do live in Louisiana. Love the culture here, hate the humidity (summers are the worst) and I was born here. Lived in Maryland and Arizona for a brief time, but majority in Baton Rouge. Have lived in New Orleans, Lake Charles and DeQuincy.
Age: Have just reached half of the female life expectancy.
Last name: Named after a Sylvester Stallion action movie.
Marital Status: Married for 19 years, dated five years before he proposed. (Did marry at an early age and married my high school sweetheart, first love and he is actually older than me with gray hair.) I don't have any yet, although we are a few years apart in age. (We joke that he will always have a younger woman on his arm-ME).
Children - Have 2 girls named Tori (college sophomore) and Maddie (1st grader). Yeah what were we thinking? Had a child in between, named Morgan who passed away 44 days after she was born at 28 weeks. Will be too old to enjoy the empty nester syndrome.

Occupation- Full time Hospital Management/Mother/Wife/Chauffeur/Room Mother
Things I hate: COOKING and cleaning toilets. Have cooked three meals this year, and baked twice. I do have Christmas at my house for about forty people, so I do it up big for the end of the year.
Love- Seafood (the real thing) (shrimp, crab, crawfish, catfish are my favs.)
Boudin, étouffée(crawfish or shrimp), poboys on butter soft bread, pasta, BBQ shrimp burgers, meat pies and jambalaya. (Healthy right? Not)
Fav Pastimes- Designer Consignment shopping, outlet shopping, movies with the family, reading and writing on Wattpad. My hubby is also a shopper. Will drive to the next state for a deal.
Goals in life- To win the powerball, Pay off my bills. ( I could if I stopped buying designer shoes- sue me, I love shoes, I got it from my mother. She sold high end shoes for forty-two years and died suddenly, RIP Verna Ann)
To become a better person and stop taking things so seriously and enjoy myself.
Stickler - I hate to be late, it drives me absolutely crazy to be late. My hubby on the other hand goes with the flow, since he is the boss now, he's gotten worst.
Myths: I do not and I repeat I don't have alligators in my backyard. I live in a subdivision. My daughter attends college in a bayou town so she sees them more than I do.
I do have all my teeth in my mouth. I have a slight southern accent and yes you can understand what I am saying. I do talk a little fast but I have a degree in business, so I'm a salesman.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans is AWESOME, although I do go to the smaller parades. Yes our children get two days off every year for Mardi Gras, while others get a week. I do attend The Zulu Ball every year, and get my drink on!
I do not own a pair of overalls and I don't smoke tobacco or dip.
I own many pairs of shoes and I never lived on a plantation or a farm, although I have had lunch at one and played in the crops at my great grandparents home.
I don't own an outhouse, but my grandparents did in North Louisiana and I have never eaten red clay.
My family is multicultural. We have African-Americans, Caucasians, Cherokee, Samoa and Asians in my family tree.
