"Me!?" Brayden screamed this. "How in the hell am I a target. I work for the same fuckin' company you do!"

"Calm down dude." I was trying to get him to lower his voice but it wasn't working. I attempted to drag him inside.

"This is bullshit! I put my life into-" in this instant I quit listening. I got him into the elevator when I noticed he quit talking. Now Brayden was just staring at me. "I'm sorry Stark."

"Sorry for what?" The words had just barely left my lips as his fist came around and hit me in the side of the head and I slumped to the ground.

When I came to my body shot up and started surveying my surroundings. The suite I had rented. Brayden must've dropped me off. Why would he do this? What did I do to lose the trust there? Why was his first instinct to hit me? I had so many questions but no answers. So on turned my phone and Brayden's number was dialed. No answer. Of course. The man just betrayed me why would he answer his phone. He's not stupid. I stand up and walk to the window where I notice cit's still daylight outside.

Just then there was a knock at the door and by instinct I reach for my gun which isn't in its holster. Another knock. I search around for it and finally discover it sitting on the nightstand. I quickly reach for it when I hear another knock. "Room service" I crack the door to see a very alluring woman dressed in the hotel work clothes. "May I come in. Room service was ordered by for this room." I fully open the door allowing the girl to push the cart she had in . She appeared to be about 5' 3" with brown shoulder length hair pulled back into a ponytail. And American. Which was strange considering all I had seen in Australia was natives. This was the first American I had seen here besides myself. Then it hit me that I had been staring at the girl. She smiles and asks me, "do you like what you see sir?" with a slight giggle.

I look at my feet and then smile. "No, You look familiar. Like I've seen you before. Plus, I'm just trying to figure out who ordered room service because I didn't."

"A gentleman told us to bring up the service exactly at 5:45 pm." She replied back with a smile. "It was a very courteous order." She takes the cover off the tray to reveal a plate of waffles with a side of sausage links. The girl reached down to the bottom of the cart and by habit I reached for my gun again, but stopped myself when I seen the bottle of syrup. She looked at me curiously and asked, "you okay?"

"Yeah I'm good, just a rough day today."

"Well here. Eat then. It'll calm your trigger-happy nerves. Plus, who doesn't love waffles?!" We both laughed at this. She was funny. I'll admit that. "I'll leave you now so you can eat."

"Ma'am what's your name?" I decided to go out on a limb. Couldn't understand why I was doing this but I just felt like it.

"Jade." It was a pretty name

"Well. Jade. Do you like waffles?"

"I do as a matter of a fact." This was good.

"Well. How about, we go get another thing of waffles and sit up here and eat." I just asked her out. I've asked multiple girls out before but she was different for some reason she looked familiar. Like I'd seen her before.

"Well Mr...." I had forgotten that she didn't know my name.

"Chase."

"Well Chase. I think that sounds like a plan." Jade had walked over to the door and pushed it closed. Then she walked over to the phone that sat in the living room of the suite and picks it up making a call. After the call she looks at me. "You should change. That suit doesn't look comfortable."

As I walk back to the bedroom I stop in the door way and look back to Jade and teased her, "Do you wanna help me?"

Jade stood there and thought for a second, then walked to me. "Well if you insist." Just as Jade reaches the me there's a knock on the door. "Oh look at that." Jade pushed me into the room. "Change while I get this." Quickly I change into a black T-shirt and sweat pants and walk out to see Jade with both meals at the table. And she was sitting there waiting for me. Leisurely I stroll over to the table and sit down at one of the plates. Jade had sat down next to me. She had taken a bite of her food and asked, "So what is your job exactly?"

"I work for the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation. My job is to bring in people of interest for investigations. Most of the time it involves staying inside the U.S. but sometimes I have to travel and work with other governments to find my targets. It's a dirty job at times. But most of the times it's pretty peaceful. People realize when the government comes after them that it's a good idea to surrender peacefully."

"Wow." We both finished our plates and she stood up. "Well I've used up my break. I should probably get back to work. This was nice. Thank you."

"No problem Jade." I jumped out of my chair to meet her. "It was nice to not eat alone for once." We both walk to the door and I open it.

She stands facing me and looks up at me, inching closer. "How long you gonna be in the country?"

"Probably for less than twelve hours."

"Well then that means I only have one shot." She smiles at me she and raises on her toes and presses her lips against mine. They were soft and welcoming. I pressed back and we stood there like nothing else existed in the world. Jade had put her hands against my chest and pushed away. "Now I definitely have to leave. Before I lose my job." She runs her hands through her hair and walks into the hall. I poke my head out the door to watch her leave.
