Chapter Six

As we got off the plane I felt sad all over again. I didn't think this is how I would spend spring break.

"Come on sis, let's head to the house." Terrell said sighing and getting into the cab he had called before. I followed him and got into the cab.

We pulled up at my Dads house and saw a bunch of peoples cars parked everywhere! I rolled my eyes as we got out the cab after Terrell paid. I didn't feel like being bothered with 'Family'.

"Terrell.."

"Its ight Ria.. Don't worry about, I got you." he said grabbing my hand. Terrell always took up for me, even against our family.

"Y'all are finally here!!" one of my aunties said pulling us into a hug. I just smiled and walked off to my room. Everything was the same.. He didn't touch anything.

"Oh, old man I miss you so much." I said blinking away the tears filling my eyes. I sat my bags down on the bed and went to go find my mom. She was in my dads room crying her eyes out.

"Ma.." I said while standing in the door.

"Ria!" she said getting up and practically running towards me. She hugged me and cried in my arms while I held her. After a few minutes she pulled away and looked at me.

"Look at me, I'm pose to be holding you, not the other way around." she said chuckling.

"Its okay, I think we needed that moment anyway. Now Ima go get everybody to leave, because I can see we all don't feel like being bothered." I said walking out the door.

"Hey Ria!" she yelled. I peeked my head back into the room.

"Thanks, I love you." she said smiling.

"Ya welcome, and I love you too." I said smiling. It felt good to hear that from moms. I walked downstairs to the living room where everyone was laughing and talking.

"Um.. I'm glad everyone came but.. its time for y'all to leave!!" I yelled.

"Mm, who is she to be kicking us out?"

"Got a nasty attitude just like her momma."

"Don't make no damn sense."

"I'm my daddies child! And my attitude can get a whole lot nastier! Now get out!" I yelled. I swear my family is so fucking annoying. They all got up and left. I sighed and walked up to my dads room where my mom was blowin her nose.

"There gone." I said yawning. I was tired from the flight.

"Thanks baby, I know you and your brother are tired. So what, takeout or fast food?" she asked. I honestly didn't know, but I needed my comfort food.

"Burger King or Subway?" I asked her knowing what she'll pick already.

"You already know." she said tossing me here keys. I looked at her funny.

"I don't have my license.

"But your my child. We were born to drive, now go on." she said laughing. I shrugged it off and went downstairs to find Terrell but my phone vibrated.

I laughed and went into the den where Terrell was laying on the couch.

"Aye fool, I'm finna go to Subway, what ya want on ya sub?" I asked.
