One Mistake that caused the death of a Dear Friend

A few days after the trip, Y/n stayed studying many dark magic, it wasn't her interest to become a dark wizard, more like learning ways to make it good, or if one day it could come in handy. After reading a few pages, Y/n was full energy and wanted to do somethings today. She grabbed one of her her favorite books, went up to the dining table and sat down to continue reading on where she left off. She didn't notice that Sting and Rogue were there. They were eating at a table peacefully until she came and they stopped.

Sting had to say something about that, "Don't you know what table you are at? This table is meant for strong wizards. You are not even part of this group and never will, how about you go run of to your friends outside and distract yourself. Now scram before I use magic on you. This time you won't be the one winning." Y/n stayed and clinched hard on one of the pages of the book. She looked around and connected eyes with him.

"There isn't a sign that says that, or is there one that I don't know of?" It ticked him off. Before he could say anything, master Jiemma entered the guild and went up to his seat, and stood in front of it and called everyone to gather. Y/n smirked a little for the thing she did to Sting. She wanted to make him feel the same way she did when he bothers her. The girl and the boys stood up and went to said place.

"Sabortooth, today as we all know is the day I choose five people to participate at the Grand Magic Games. As I call your name please prepare yourselves for some hard training in a week and this time it will be intense. We still have to be number one in Fiore, understood?" He asked. They all nodded. Everybody stood up and crossed their fingers, that included Y/n herself too. "Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Rufus Lore, Yukino Agria, and.... Y/n L/n..."

Y/n stood there quietly with her eyes widen. They were going to pop out at any moment. Never had she thought that she would get chosen after all they have done to her. The short girl can feel her heart dancing. Everyone whispered and looked towards her way, which made her feel uncomfortable and immediately lose her excitement. The master cleared his throat and faced at the girl, "If you fail me you know what happens right?" She nodded. Of course she knew what he meant.

"I know, I won't fail you sir."

Time passed by, at the GMG.

Sabortooth is in the lead, with Fairy Tail coming last place. Y/n stood next to her team and keeping quiet at all times. She wore her usually black dress and long h/c hair down to her waist. To add to her style, she wore arm shields, that's where opponents always aim -at the arms. It was so hot today, which made her skin all sticky and sweaty, and putting her hair into a ponytail. Y/n felt very nervous but had faith that she will win when her name is called for a match. She was thinking in mind of who she was going to go against with. Sting looked down at the girl with a serious face, she didn't notice. In his mind he thought, with her state, she wasn't going to make it in 15 minutes or so, even though she had fought him in the past and won, it's not enough. Her name was called and she was going to do the chariot race. But he also thinks that she should win for the sake of Sabertooth's popularity rank.

Sting's pov

Chariot Race, this is going to be a pain in the butt. She's a Dragon Slayer, and we slayers have motion sickness. I bet she'll not last even a second on that thing.

I watched her go over there at the starting line. I look at her face seeing nothing but a confident look. Wasn't she suppose to look scared?

As the time started she began to jump and run. My mouth gaped as she ran, she looked perfectly fine and her face didn't turned purple or anything. How can Y/n do it?! By the end of the match she had won. At that moment I felt guilt swell up in my heart, and I think I am regretting everything I had told her a week ago.
