Natsu pov:

I was woken up by the sound of an idiots voice shouting at me. "NATSU!! WAKE UP FLAME BRAIN!!" ??? Shouted, they barged throw my door.

In Natsu's mind

Why that bastard! I'll kick that Ice princesses ass for waking me up!

I jumped out of bed and punched ??? in the face, ??? went flying out my doorway and hit the wall. "WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL GRAY!?" I yelled. He stood. "Oh I don't know. MAYBE 'CAUSE THE QUEEN TOLD ME TO GET YOU!" "Huh? What for?" Gray shrugged. "I guess we'll have to fight later, ice striper!" I smirk. Gray has this bad habit of stripping every once and a while, and we don't know how or why! "Flame brain!". "Ice queen!". "Pyro!". "Snow cone!" After having a name off, I left and found my mum in the throne room talking to some servants. "Hay mum. So what did you wanna talk to me about!" She looked at me and sent the servant away. "Well. You know the Heartfilias!" She asked, "They're throwing a ball tonight for the princess!" I was shocked. Only a few people have ever seen the princesses face. There was an accident many years ago, Layla Heartfilia, the queen, was killed. The Heartfilias thought it was us, the Dragneels and after that the princess was nameless and faceless. She never shows her self. "The King, has sent me an invitation. He also said that we should once again reunite our kingdoms!" "That's great! The war between us has gone on long enough!" I said smiling. "I think not!" Mother said, my eyes widened. "Huh. Don't you want this war to end mother?" I asked, "Yes, but in our victory!" She had a look in her eyes, a look....I've never seen before!

Lucy pov:

Should I bring him something? Oh maybe I could...

"Lucy!" My father shouted, I turned around. "Where are you going to in such a hurry?" He asked, if he knew about Natsu he would never let me leave. "Oh well you see dad...um..." Someone came up behind me and tapped my shoulder, Levy!? "Your Highness princess Lucy was kind enough to come into town with me and get some stuff for her ball tonight!" She said, I knew what she was doing and played along. "Just...be careful...and don't be to late like yesterday!" He left and we giggled. "So why are you in a hurry?" Levy asked as we were walking to the stables. "Uh...well you see," I started to push my fingers together back and forth. "I...sorta...met someone....yesterday and....he asked....if I wanted to see him again today." I timidly said, then Levy got a smirk on her face. "So its a he is it!" She looked at me, I blushed hard. "NO ITS NOT LIKE THAT!" I shouted. My face was red. "Well have fun with your 'prince'!" She smirked, I scowled and rode off.

Natsu pov:

I was laying on the grass looking up at the sky.

When is she gonna get here? Is she even gonna show.

While I was thinking to myself. A shadow appeared and I was saw Lucy appear from out of no where. "Hay!" She said. Her face was right over mine. "H..hi." I blushed, after noticing how close she was she snapped back and went red. "I..I'm sorry...I didn't realise I was so close!" She said. I sat up properly and smiled. "It's fine! I'm just glad you came!" I said, she smiled back. "Oh ya!" She said, she started rummaging through her bag. And set an amazing looking picnic. "WOW! THIS IS AMAZING HOW DID YOU...?" I shouted, it all looked expensive and the food tasted amazing. "ARE YOU RICH OR SOMETHING?" I asked, "You could say that. My family is pretty rich, we even have a family crest!" She said, she pointed to a badge on her shirt.

In Natsu's mind

"Well anyway. Lets dig in!" She said. "Yeah!" I yelled. We joked, laughed and ate all the food. Then I remembered. "Hay Lucy!" She was packing up the picnic stuff. "Ya, what is it?" "I wanna show you something!" I stood up, "Ok. Let me put this stuff away first!" She buckled the bag to her horse then she followed me. "From here you have to close your eyes." I said, "Huh? But how am I gonna see where I'm going?" She asked. I turned around. "Don't worry! I'll guide you! Do you trust me?" I asked, her eyes widened. She nodded and closed her eyes then I grabbed her hand and we started walking again. Finally we were there! "Ok, open your eyes!" I said.

Lucy pov:

When he told me to open my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw. It was beautiful! It was an open meadow and in the middle was a huge tree. Its leaves where all brightly multicolored. And as the wind blow leaves fell in the night, it looked something from out of a fairy tale. As I stared at the tree I realise I was holding on to Natsu's hand tightly. "Its beautiful isn't it?" He said, I looked at him. "Ya, it must be the middle of the forest!" I said, then he walked forward and let go of my hand. For some strange reason....I felt a loneliness rush through me for just a sec. "You wanna see something else that's beautiful?" He ran to the tree and waved me to come over, we started to climb the tree. "All this climbing better not be for nothing!" I shouted, at the top he was sitting. Then he saw me struggling to get up all the way. And he pulled me up. But I tripped.

In Lucy's mind

CRAP I TRIPPED AND NOW HE'S REALLY CLOSE!!

In Natsu's mind

I pulled away. "S..sorry. I..tr..tripped!" I was bright red, I sat down. And he sat down next to me. We were both blushing. Then I looked up at the sky and was shocked. Natsu looked at me and smiled. "Told you!" He said, the stars glittered in the night like crystals, I looked around and found myself staring at the moon and how high it was. Natsu as well. "OH CRAP!!" We both yelled, we climbed down the tree and started to run to our horses, but he was too fast. He stooped and waited for me to catch up. Then he grabbed me and started to carry me. "Huh? What are you doing?" I asked, "Making sure I don't lose you!" He said. When we finally got to our horse we said our goodbyes and left.
