Kingdoms at War

Natsu pov:

Waking up I felt a weight laying on top of me. I sat up slightly and saw Lucy fast asleep, "Should I wake her?" I whispered, I moved her hair a little and she started to wake up. "Morning sleepy head." I said, "Huh, what. Oh morning!" She said half asleep, "Wait. Morning?" She said. "What's wrong Lucy?" I asked, Mavis came running down the stairs, Zeref following. "The kingdoms! They're at war!" Mavis shouted, Lucy and I looked at each other then back at Mavis. "They're armies are headed to the middle of the forest!" Zeref said, "To late. Look!" Mavis was looking at her mirror and showed us. "Father!" Lucy said, "Mum!" I said. From what we could see, they were just arguing at the moment. "We have to leave now!" Mavis said.

With the Kingdoms

"First you kill my wife then you kidnap my daughter!" King Jude shouted. "What? We didn't kill Layla Hearfilia, she was my friend! And where's my son!" Queen Nala yelled. They both growled at each other. "Attack!" They both shouted.

Lucy pov:

Mavis managed to teleport us in between them Natsu facing his mother and me facing my father. "Lucy?" My dad said, "Natsu?" His mother said. Natsu and I stood back to back, "Lucy move!" "Natsu, out 'a the way!" His mother shouted, We didn't move but I felt Natsu link his fingers with mine. "I'm sorry Lucy! Guards!" Dad shouted, "Natsu you ready?" I asked, "Ready when you are!" He smiled. Our parents were confused. "Star dress, Aquarius the water bearer!" I shouted, Natsu's hand was covered in flames, guards from our own kingdoms started attacking us and each other, we had no choice but to fight. "We have to stop them!" I shouted to Natsu, "Ya but how?" He asked, I let my guard down trying to think and got knocked out! "Lucy!" I heard Natsu shout before I totally lost consciousness.

Natsu pov:

Lucy was knocked out and I lost control, flames shot out around me. I picked Lucy up and sat her down under a tree, "Lucy," I whispered. I wasn't thinking clearly, I put my hand on her head and kissed her forehead. I exploded, I shot flames everywhere hitting everyone but Lucy. The kingdoms fell back and left the forest. Then I called Zeref. "Zeref, I need a portal to yours and Mavis's!" I said, "Huh why, what happened?" He asked, "It's Lucy. She was knocked unconscious and hasn't woken up!" I said. A portal appeared and I carried Lucy in, we came out in Mavis and Zeref's house! "What happened to her Natsu?" Mavis asked, I set Lucy down on the coach! "Natsu come with me! Now!" Zeref said, I followed him upstairs. "First, what on earth were you thinking? Second, while Mavis treats Lucy's wounds I'll treat ours!" He scowled me like a little kid. Didn't know why, all I could think about was Lucy. Since then Lucy didn't wake up for hours.

Lucy pov:

In Lucy's dream

Lucy.

Huh, what!

Hay Lucy.

That's Natsu.

Lucy wake up.

What?

Wake up!

I slowly eyed my, I was laying on the sofa with a blanket. It looked like morning. I turned my head and Natsu was sleeping next to me. He was sitting on the floor with his head on his arms on the sofa. I smlied and started strocking his hair, then I put the blanket over him. "He's been there all night!" Mavis said looking sleepy.

In Lucy's mind

He's been here all night! Oh Natsu.

"So what happened?" I asked, last I remember Natsu screaming my name. "Did we stop them?" I looked at Mavis, her head down. "You kinda stopped them!" She said, "What do you mean kinda?" I stood up and walked over to her. "After you pasted out, Natsu.......well," "Well what?" I grabbed her sholders. "He lost control of his magic. Fire shot out him and they retreated! Then he brought you here!" She said, I let go of her sholders and looked at Natsu. I backed up. "I need to go think!" I ran to door and went down the elorvater. I ran through the forest until I came to a cliffside clearing. I sat after away from the edge and started crying. "Why? Why can't the kingdoms see that war is pointless?" I shouted. I sat there looking at the sun get higher and higher. "Lucy." I heard behind me. Starteled, I looked behind me. "Natsu." I said.

In Lucy's mind

He's been there for me. He's the only one who understands!

Without thinking I ran straight to him and hugged tight, knocking us down. I didn't let go even when he was getting up into a sitting posision. "Hay what's wrong?" He asked, I gripped the back of his shirt. "Just let me stay like this for awhile!" I said, "Sure." He said, and he put his arms around me.

In Lucy's mind

He's so warm. Huh, what am I thinking. He probably doesn't like me in that way. He probaly likes Lisanna. But.......if there's a small chance he likes me........

As I thinking to myself I felt Natsu's hand touch my chin and...

Natsu pov:

I couldn't stop myself. I pulled Lucy in, holding her chin, and kissed her. I didn't know how she flet about me but I had to. To my surprise she kissed me back, her hands in my hair. When we broke the kiss, we smiled and put our foreheads together. "I love Lucy!" I said, "I love you too, Natsu!" She said back. "You know if ours parents find out they'll probably kill us!" She said, "Who care's?!" I said and kissed her again. After awhile we got back to the house, Mavis was waiting. She had a starry eyed looked on her face, then Zeref came rushing down the stairs, mirror in hand. "We might have a problem!" He said, he held the mirror up. The kingdoms were at it again, but this time it looked more verbal than violent. "This time we're all going." Mavis as she opened a portal. When we came out the other side our parents spotted us. But Mavis and Zeref walked over to the kingdoms. "Why does Mavis look like she's gonna explode with rage?" Lucy whispered, before I could say anything, "WHY ARE THE KINGDOMS FIGHTING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST?" Mavis yelled, everyone but Zeref was shocked and a little scared. "The Dragneel's killed my wife, and who are you?" Lucy's dad asked, "One, the Dragneels didn't kill Layla Heartfilia. Two, my name is Mavis. Zeref and I are immortal and we helped create the kingdoms!" She said.

Lucy pov

"Then who killed Layla?" Dad asked, I knew. I knew very well! "Well you see..." Before Mavis could say anything else,

"It was me. I KILLED MUM!"
