Kayla's POV:
I watched astonished as Belle ran off without saying a word. I was a bit upset that she had went, considering how well she was doing with Moon just a minute ago. But then again, I knew how hard it was for her to be around horses, so I accepted the fact she needed some time alone. I walked up to Moon, who was still licking her muzzle from the sugary sweet that was tickling her tongue, and patted her neck. She had been a good girl today, not only on the ride, when she ran so well, but also with Belle. I was expecting her to immediately try and get the sweet off her hand, but she was being patient and calm. I was so proud and happy with her. I gave her a quick kiss on the forehead, removing the thin rope that was still tied loosely around her neck.
"There you go baby, you can go now." I said and patted her on the neck again, putting the rope back in my pocket, leaving Moon to her own business. She lazily walked off to some other horses and I decided to go and look for Belle. I knew she probably needed some time alone, but I was worried. I didn't fully understand why she was like that around horses and I was curious to know. Not only because I was nosy, but also because I actually cared about her and wanted to help her sort out whatever she had on her mind.
The first place I thought of was the small grassy meadow, with the fallen tree in the woods behind the house, where I found her the previous day. I sighed as I remembered her running off then as well, I guess she does that a lot to escape her problems. As I thought that, I figured that maybe that was the root of the problem; instead of facing her issues and solving them, she instead tried to escape them or run away whenever she was confronted with problems. I knew that intervening with her business wasn't good, but I wanted to help and honestly, I couldn't stand to be away from her while knowing she was somewhere, most likely struggling with herself. So, I made my way up to the house.
Before I went to the woods to look for her, I passed by the drinking fountain by the house and drank some water; I was dying of thurst. After I was done, I made my way towards the woods quickly and kept looking around, trying to see if I could spot Belle somewhere. On my way to there I suddenly bumped into someone. I looked at the person in shock, hoping that it was Belle but unfortunately it wasn't... it was my annoying sister. I gave her a slight glare and she did the same to me.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Kayla? You are supposed to be with the new girl and helping her out, not prancing around the whole fucking farm." Amelia said, slightly annoyed and crossed her arms against her chest, which was a sign that if she didn't like my answer, she was about to give me fucking attitude.
"Calm your tits down, for fucks sake. I am looking for her now." I said, slightly getting agitated by my sister because she was interrupting my search for the person I would have much rather been with. She opened her mouth to say something again but I quickly interrupted her. "Oh and by the way, she is doing well and finally got close to a horse give me another day and she will be riding. So, before you start being a total bitch, I thought you should know I am handling this shit pretty well." I said and before she could say anything else, I continued walking towards my destination. I heard my sister swear at me as I walked away but I ignored it; it was just our way of expressing our 'love' for each other.
It wasn't long before I arrived at the place and looked around, scanning the whole area for Belle's beautiful face, but unfortunately, she was nowhere to be seen. I started slightly panicking and to be honest, I was really worried by that point. I was pretty sure she was going to be at the fallen tree, just like she had been the day before but the empty meadow proved otherwise. I decided to quickly go and look for her, hoping that she wasn't hurt or anything. Of couse, I didn't think she would be, but something in my gut told me that I just had to find her as soon as possible. Something was definitely happening.
