A Date with a goddess( or not )

Percy POV
As I drove, I could tell my girlfriend was getting increasingly curious about where we were going.
" Where are we going, Percy ?"
" It won't be a surprise if I tell you now will it be ?" I tell her as I continue to drive, now reaching Manhattan and going towards a nice little restaurant that - " Holy Hades!!! That looks huge and .....................expensive." Moonbeam says, cutting off my train of thought.
" It's not that expensive."
I park the truck, get out and open Artemis' door for her.
" Such a gentleman, as usual, Kelp-head." She says as she smiles and gets out and glares at her heels when she thinks I wasn't looking for a second, then we start heading towards the entrance.

We walk up to the hostess who's at the altar thingy that holds the reservations.
"Hello, how may I hel-" She freezes when she sees Artemis. " Lady Artemis? Why are you even remotely near a male that's still alive? And not a Jackelope, even if it is the famous Percy Jackson ."

Artemis POV
I look at her kindly since she is a maiden and because it probably is surprising to see a sight like this if you are a part of the mythological world. "Young maiden, what's your name ?"
"Rossy Deathraze, daughter of Aphrodite,  Lady Artemis."
" Hmm, I wonder where I've heard that last name before. Tonight I am not a goddess ... I'm just a 'normal girl' so please, for this night, just call me Artemis, alright ?"
The girl seemed taken aback by my out-of-character reply, but I didn't care now. I just want to know what Percy has planned for tonight.
" Very well, Artemis. Do either of you have a reservation?" I was pretty surprised she didn't stutter when calling me by my name as if I was normal.
" Yes, it should be under Jackson?" I hear Percy say as I notice the wedding ring on the girl's finger.
" Ah yes, right this way ." She says as she leads us towards the v.i.p section...... which was completely empty except for one table for two, much to my shock. " Blade is sorry he couldn't show up tonight; he had to care for the other half of the restaurant."
" Other half ?" I ask in confusion.
" Yes, this place isn't called The Blue Penguin's fine dining and Steakhouse for nothing, you know? This restaurant has two entrances one for those who are fancy and don't eat anything that isn't worth 200 dollars at the very least or for those that are just on an extraordinary date. Then you got the other side for those who every time they open their wallet a fly comically flies out or just ain't into fancy stuff ."
" I thought it was called that because you wanted it to be called that, and Blade doesn't know how to tell you no." I hear Percy say in a playful tone.
" S-shut up, fish boy !!" I giggle lightly.
" So professional, Darlin!." I giggle more when she glares at Percy and then starts walking away. "Don't call me that!! Only blade can." She says as she leaves.
"Tell the cowboy hi for me !!" Percy calls towards her as she leaves.
" Um, she didn't take our order ?"
" Everything is pre-ordered moon, Beam... I hope you're ok with that ."
" Oh....ok, I best like what you've gotten me, kelp-head !" I say in mock anger, clearly curious  Instead.
" I'm not that bad now, am I ?"
" Have you ever cooked a day in your life ?"
" Yes !! It was only mostly burned."
" Mostly? I'm sure that means not edible ?" I try to stop my unlike-me giggles but fail, knowing I'm only like this around Percy.
" It was somewhat edible."
" I think that counts as a fail, Percy ."
I chuckle as Percy sighs.
" Yea, your right. My mom never let me cook again after that ..." I can't help but laugh at this.
"Hey !!!  What's so funny  ?"
" T.....th....the g......great hero of .....O.......Olympus  getting told he  isn't allowed to cook food  is so f......funny !!!" I say in between laughs.
" It is not !!" He exclaims, which only makes me laugh harder, five minutes later, I manage to calm down as the hostess comes back with a cart filled with food that I have to admit smelt great even from here.

Rossy's POV
I walked up to the two with a cart with their food, and I grabbed a tray and set it in front of Artemis. " Pork Rillette Hand Pies for the Lady." I say as I set it down. " And a blue peanut butter jelly sandwich for the gentleman." I say as it put in front of him unable to believe he actually ordered that . " if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask ." I smile then walk away to let them have privacy.

Percy POV
I smile as rossy leaves and I can tell my girlfriend is trying not to laugh. " what's so funny moon Beam?"
" Y...you go to a very fancy restaurant and you order a blue peanut butter jelly sandwich?! I know you like blue foods, but even a sandwich isn't safe?"
" Ummmm, well yeah! Duh. Food being blue does not need explanation." Came my great reply. Which caused Artemis to giggle and I to smile at her giggles, making her blush slightly as she laughed.
" I love you moonbeam."
" I love you too, kelp-head." She says after her giggle fit.
" I did not have a giggle fit !!!"
" Wait, are you reading my mind ?"
" N-no, I'm not ."
"Moonbeam?!"
" Fine, I admit it !!! I did, I'm sorry ."
I chuckle and smile, not really caring. " It's fine moonbeam, but remember  your just a 'normal girl' tonight, not a goddess, remember?"
" I should have known that would bite me in the butt later ." Moonbeam says as she sighs in mock annoyance.
" Yep, you should have ."

Artemis POV
I jokingly stick my tongue out at him before finally taking a bite, and my eyes widen at how good this is.
"Like it ?" Percy asks as I chew, and I just nod.
" Told you, you would."  Percy then decides to give me his famous lopsided grin.
" Oh, wipe that grin off your face, kelp-head." I say as I can't help but grin too. Before long, I finish my food, and the empty plates are taken, and ice cream gets out in front of me in a bowl!!! And I start eating that slowly. " So how are the girls' moon Beam?" Percy asks.
" There doin great the numbers have skyrocketed since the second giant war."
" That's awesome . I'm happy your hunters are doing so well ."
" Thank you Percy that means a lot to me through Thalia found out about us ."
" How ?"
" She listened in on our Iris message ."
" Oh well I guess you could say that was an Iris message gone wrong yet so right ?"
" How did it go right ?"
" I got a date with my lovely girlfriend duh."  Percy says and I don't know why but I feel my cheeks heat up to a warm golden color and I try to hide my face but I know Percy probably already saw it but with him being a kelp-head I have a chance.
" Are you alright moon beam ?"
" Umm yea I'm fine some of the ice cream didn't agree with my stomach." I quickly lie trying to cover my blush. And I'm successful as once my blush goes away I slowly look back at him then continue to eat our dessert together.
" Any thing interesting back at camp ?"
" Yea !  new campers and I got put in charge of sword fighting class again."
" I wonder why Percy Jackson the greatest swordsman alive got put in charge of a sword fighting class ?!?  How did such a think be possible?!?" I say as I playfully tease him.
" Meanie !!" He says which only makes me start laughing again.
" Why are you laughing?"
" N......no reason......" and Percy being Percy just lets me laugh till I'm done before leaning over the table after the empty ice cream bowls are taken and surprises me with a kiss in which I happily return. And I hear a flash but I'm to much into this kiss to care as I pull Percy deeper into the kiss. But sadly the need to breath forces us to separate.
" I love you kelp-head." I tell Percy after I catch my breath.
" I love you too moon Beam." Percy smiles at me and I happily return it .
" Anything happening with the council?"
" Well father tried to to force a guardian on me and my hunters .....it was Hercules..... he lasted five minutes in the camp before he left after yelling he quit ."
" So he got turned into a reverse porcupine?"
" Yep he sure did and it looked hilarious!!!!" Percy chuckles as I say this .
" I bet it was."
" So his did your quest for Athena go ?"
" Quite well surprisingly. I found this really old book that she lost centuries ago on the way back from the quest and she was really happy about that and she doesn't hate me as much anymore.... so that's good right ?"
" yea it sure is .... is your archery skills getting any better?"
" Oh yea I can now hit targets 500 feet away........... that are directly behind me ."
" Hey no need for sarcasm kelp-head ."* I say as I lightly punch his arm.
" Ouch !!" He says in fake agony.
" Oh that didn't hurt !!" I then start so see the sun just barely behind Percy and my eyes widen as I realize we just spent the whole night chatting after finishing that I don't even remember how many courses of food that there was by the end of it . I was to busy chatting with Percy and I can't help but smile .
" We best get you back moon Beam ." Percy says as he stands after paying the bill completely then handing kat several gold coins that are all to familiar as a tip .
" Yes lets go ." I say as Percy grabs my hand as we walk back to the truck hand in hand though I glare at my heels every chance I get that Percy isn't looking . Before long Percy opens the passenger door for me and I get in and buckle up. " Thank you Percy ."
" Your welcome Artemis." He then closes the door for me and walks around getting into the driver seat and leaving the restaurant parking lot and taking me 'home' .

Well that was quite eventful? And a longer chapter then I expected And what was that flash Artemis heard? anyways
