My watch pager chimed and I sat up in a startled jolt. My eyes glanced at my holographic clock which read '2:03 AM'. Aggravated, I clicked a button on my watch and listened.
"Violet is that you?"
"Yes master Jun. This better be important," I said in an exhausted tone.
"We are giving your current mission to another agent and..."
"After I stayed up all night tracking that guy that stole the banks money? No way!" My tone grew louder and I began to get mad.
"Listen, come down to the base and we will explain everything."
I clicked the conversation to an end and crawled out of bed to my closet. Quickly, I slipped on a midnight black pair of skinny jeans and a red shirt on, throwing my hair in a ponytail, and slipping on my zoo-york jacket. My maid walked in and handed me a warm wine glass.
"What is this sweetheart?"
"French vanilla coffee mixed with a touch of mudslide." My maid was young and cute. Her hair was raven black and her eyes, ice blue. She was assigned to me by master Asagi and has been with me for six years now.
I kissed her cheek and slipped a twenty dollar bill into her over-revealing maids outfit and she skipped off. I drank the amazing drink my maid had brought me and took my car keys from the table. Walking through the house was a work out from all the doors and even after being in this house for nineteen years, I still have to have a gps to find my way around.
I crawled into my 69 Ford Falcon and flipped on Phantasmagoria. My watch chimed again and master Asagi greeted me.
"Master Asgai," I said with a smile. "How are you?"
"I am doing well. Yourself?"
"I am still sleep but good, thank you."
"That's good Hun. You're on your way here I'm guessing?"
"Yes sir. I'm about to pull in now."
Our conversation ended as I pulled into the abandon looking house and pulled around back. Master Asagi met me out back and opened my door for me. "Master, you didn't have to do that," I said with a huge grin on my face.
" I wanted to."
I wrapped my arms around Master and walked with him into the house. "So why did you guys give my mission away to someone Master?"
"I thought you would like this mission much more." We stood on the platform and Master Asagi scanned this finger on the pad. The platform took us down and Master put his arm around my shoulder and smiled down at me. I stuck my tongue out at him and walked into the underground cave.
Master Jun looked at me and smirked. "About time you got here Violet."
"Shut up Master Jun," I said playfully. Master Jun hugged me and I gagged. "Ewe, Jun germs"
Master looked down at me and pulled my hair. "Remember who gave you this job hunny."
"Yes sir." I growled and pulled away from him. I sat down in the spin chair and plugged my headphones into it, scanning my hand. Music filled my ears as Master Jun started talking and I turned up the volume on the chair, closing one eye. Jun growled at me and too the headphones out of my ears and Asagi quietly laughed,
"Violet, you need to listen to this alright sweetheart."
"Yes master Asagi," I said as I glared at Master Jun and smirked.
"You're a brat," Jun said harshly
"You have blue and pink hair Mr. Cotton Candy." I laughed and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Violet you're going to be capturing a guy that killed a woman and kidnapped a new-born baby," Master Asagi looked me in the eyes and smiled. "I know you can do this Violet. Don't disappoint me, alright," Master Asagi said lightly as he kissed my head and played with my hair.
"I will not let you down Master Asagi, or you Master Jun."
Jun looked at Asagi and smiled. "I have no idea how you control her like that, but you're good at what you do."
A young man, dressed in all black leather and spiked hair walked around the corner and leaned against the wall. I stood from the chair and bolted over to him, taking his shirt in my hand. "Who do you think you are walking in here like that!?"
Master Asagi wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back. "this is your new partner, Zivanor."
"I don't trust him. Find me a new partner."
Master Asagi placed his hand on my tummy and ran his other hand through my hair, laying his head on my shoulder softly. "You're going to be alright with him Violet. I promise. You're still our favorite little girl."
"Yes master Asagi, I will work with him." I held my had out to Zivanor and bowed to him. "My name is Violet Matsumoto. Nice to meet you."
"My name is Zivanor Seldon. The honor of meeting you is mine."
