Song for this chapter:
Bloodstream by Ed Sheeran

"I'm going out. I'll be back in about ten minutes. Don't go anywhere OK?" Tyler West instructed, his tone harsh. Delilah Laurence nodded, knowing it was foolish to disagree. He was so much stronger than her anyway. "Good. Givvus' a kiss."
She sat on his lap and kissed him. She remembered a time when kissing him was her favourite thing to do in the world. He might have his faults, she used to think to herself, but I love him more than breathing.

They broke away and he smiled at her widely. She forced a smile back and his shoulders visibly relaxed. His large hand stroked her face tenderly before he indicated her to move off of him. She obliged and watched him walk out of the apartment, locking the door behind him. Delilah scoffed to herself; she felt like a prisoner. She ran her fingers through her long blonde hair frustratedly.

Twenty minutes later, she was still waiting. She had taken a shower and raked a comb through her hair in that time. The door opened, and Tyler walked in.

"H-hey," She stuttered, "You hungry?"

"No." He grumbled, flopping onto the coach.

"Okay.. Where did you go?"

"To the.. pub." He took his time to answer. Delilah didn't answer. "Come here." He gestured for her to sit on the space on the sofa next to him. She sat down, letting the warmth of the sofa envelope her. He moved her soft hair to the side and smelt her neck, the smell of her blood driving him crazy with lust. She caught onto what he was doing and tensed, preparing herself. Feeling his fangs lengthen, he softly kissed her jawline, down her neck to the spot where her neck met her shoulder. She felt his wavy hair tickle her neck and she gulped. His fangs penetrated her skin and she sucked a breath in sharply, breathing through her pain. She was still getting used to this. His hand rubbed her arm up and down comfortingly as he continued to feed. The metallic taste of her blood ran down his throat. He let out a low moan as her blood ran down his chin and onto his shirt. He pulled away, licking his lips to collect the blood around his mouth. He pulled away and she immediately felt dizzy without his strong arms holding her. She lay down on the sofa with her eyes closed. Tyler left the room to go brush his teeth and she let out a small whimper as her neck throbbed. Was this what her life had come to? With an abusive, cruel vampire? She prayed, to anyone really, for a savior. To save her from Tyler and the cold, blue eyes that haunted her at night.

After he drank her blood, they just stayed on the sofa, watching TV.

"Delilah?" Tyler's raspy voice mumbled against her lips. "Yeah?" She whispered.

"I love you." She inwardly rolled her eyes. She knew he didn't love her, oh no. He simply loved the feeling of her being there, for her to be waiting for him in bed every night. He adored the feeling of her being there, and he was going to keep that feeling, no matter what the cost.

"I-I," She looked away from his expectant blue eyes, "I love you too." Delilah whispered, but he clearly heard with his vampire hearing. It was getting harder and harder to reciprocate his words, but he didn't notice. Hell, he never did.

She tied the rubber strip tightly around her arm, glancing at him nervously. Part of her knew how stupid this was, but the other part didn't care. That part of her was consumed by curiosity. What is so damn addicting about this shit?, she asked herself. She was about to find out. She took a deep breath and plunged the needle into her vein and injected the substance into her bloodstream. She immediately felt the effect of it; the drugs rushing up her veins. She leant against the sofa as she tried to control her breathing. It didn't necessarily feel bad, but she still didn't understand how it was so addictive.

"Good girl," He purred, taking the cigarette out his mouth. He leaned forward and blew the smoke into her parted lips. She coughed madly, trying to inhale oxygen into her lungs. He laughed, his eyes lighting up in amusement. "Dick." She muttered.

"Ah, but you still love me." He replied, winking cheekily.

She rolled her eyes, though inside she was dying to be anywhere than with him.

Sorry about the drug reference; but prepare yourself for more in the book.

The whole story will not be in third person; just this chapter. Zayn is not famous in this, One Direction don't exist. Also, this book is set in London and yes, I know Zayn's from Bradford.
