I walked back up to my room and fell into a trance. Nothing felt real. Nothing was real. Chad was gay. Brian didn't even know my name. I was lonely and a nerdy freak.

That's when I fell asleep.

I was back at school. That's when I saw Chad walking with Brian. What? I walked up to Chad and asked what was up. He laughed in my face and high-fived Brian. Then, Brian's ex girlfriend Emily walked up and kissed Chad on the cheek. The three of them walked away and I was alone.

"AAAAAAH!" Oh my goodness it was just a dream. I sat up on my bed and felt like crap. Okay, let's recap. Chad was making out with a girl. Brian stood me up. I checked my phone to see I had 6 missed messages.

Brian: Alyssa call me.

Chad: did you stop by last night?

Brian: Alyssa I feel really bad let me explain.

Chad: Alyssa whatever you saw it wasn't what it looked like.

Brian: ALYSSA?

Chad: Alyssa talk to me.

I only decided to answer Chad.

Me: what do you want.

Chad: open your front door.

My parents were still on vacation so when the doorbell rang I was the only one home to answer. It was Chad. "We need to talk."

"Alyssa I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner..."

"Tell me what"

"Alyssa I'm not gay. I never was. I only pretended. I couldn't get any girl. You were my only friend. C'mon it was senior year and I wanted to be someone."

"Chad stop."

"No. Alyssa I'm sorry! I'm not gay. So when I went to the mall with Tyler I met a girl. She actually liked me. I explained to Tyler that I needed some space. He understood I was confused and left. The girl's name was Julia. She was hot and she wanted me. Me! It was pretty crazy. I guess something changed within me. I thought I could just be gay but I really wasn't. I don't even know what's wrong with me. I'm sorry Alyssa."

I didn't know how up react. I just found out that my gay best friend since kindergarten has been lying to me for almost a year. I told Chad about Brian and we just sat together for a couple hours without saying a word.
