First day back at school:

I take out my school books from my (f/c) book bag. I set them in front of me. I sit in the back row of my class room. I sit by myself. Nathaniel sat in front of me, he was too busy sleeping to notice.

A new girl comes in. She has dark skin and long brunette hair. He hair is in multiple small dreadlocks that reaches down to her mid back (picture above). I watched as she walked back to me. She set her crimson bag on the opposite side is the bench I'm sitting in.

She really looks like Hornet. Are they related? I thought.

"Hey, I'm Maya Cesaire." She said.

"Y/n, do I know you from somewhere?" I asked.

She took her seat. Maya crossed her arms and leaned back. I swear I've seen her before.

"I have one of those faces. And also I'm a super model for Stars High
magazine in North America."

"You're they Maya Cesaire? The Maya Cesaire that I've admired ever since I was an orphan?!"

"I guess."

I try to hide in my fan girl. I take a few deep breaths. Maya closes her eyes and sticks a pencil in her mouth. I look away and play with my fingers.

Don't fangirl, don't fangirl, dont fangirl. Come in y/n, don't fangirl.

"So, you new here?" I asked.

"Yup, my parents died and I had to move in with my uncle. Kind of a bummer but I haven't seen my uncle in ages so I don't mind."

"Who's your uncle?"

"He likes to be called Master fu. You know, short man with a goatee and a weird hair cut."

My eyes widen.

Was that the guy at the coffee shop? I thought

"I've seen him before."

"He owns a chakra reading shop in town. Good man."

"Is that so."

"Yep, I'll be staying there for a while. You should come visit some time, I think he'll like you."

"I'll keep that in mind."

"Where do you live, y/n?" She asked

"You know where the Agreste live?"

"Yeah?"

"I live with them. I don't want to brag, but I am- nevermind, it doesn't matter."

Maya gives me a confused look. Oh how I wish I can read her mind. I raise a brow.

"Students, get to your seats," the teacher announces, "we have a few new students." The teacher picks up a sheet of paper and does the attendance. "Adrien Agrest?"

"Present."

"Y/n Agreste?"

Maya gives me a questioning look.
"You didn't tell me you were an Agreste?"

I chuckle nervously.

"Y/n Agreste?" The teacher repeats.

"Yeah?" I said. I stand up and raise my right hand. Everyone burst out into laughter. I set my hand behind my head and chuckle. I sit back down. Maya pats me on the back.

"There, there, it happens to the best of us." Maya whispered.

"Quiet down class." The teacher said and continued down the list.

"You now my father gave my this ring before the ceremony." Chloe stated. She hold up a silver ring that looks like Adrien's. I scuff in disbelief.

Maya looks over at Chloe. Maya mumbles something to herself.

"What?" I whisper.

"That ring looks familiar." Maya stated.

"Yeah it looks my brother's."

"It looks like Panther's ring. My friend likes to call himself Panther. He's a total badas-" Maya stated then covers her mouth. I guess she ain't supposed to cuss. "Sorry." She quickly blurted out.

I giggle.

"I know how you feel. My father hates it when I cuss."

"Ugh, tell me about it."

I heard a small giggle come from her jacket. I cock my head to the side.

"That's my notification sound."
"Shut up," Maya whispers out the side of her mouth.

I raise a brow.

"Are you really talking to your phone?" I asked.

"Heh heh heh, I got to go to the restroom. Bye." Maya stated and ran out of the class room.

"She's weird." I whispered.

"Yeah suspicious." Cheshire stated out of my pocket.

"I'll have to keep a close eye on her."
