I feel too old to be this stupid.

To fall for such trickery between a man and his word.

To either sit and think 'he will not hurt me' or to think 'I will not be hurt'.

I feel too experienced to be this stupid.

To think his words and kiss will not affect me as others' have.

To think he could distract me from my real loss,

or from my anger,
