Audrey's POV
I woke up by a tap on my arm. I rub my sleepy eyes and look to who it is. It's mum. I groaned in annoyance and remove the covers into me.
"What's your problem mum?" I asked, annoyed.
"Me? God Audrey! It's your enrollment today and we're going to be late. I tried to wake you cause you didn't even bother to wake yourself up." My mum protested in a duh tone.
Oh, It's my enrollment today. Uggh! I forgot to set my alarm too. I looked at the clock, 8:30. Nice Audrey.
"Sorry mum. I forgot." I apologized.
"Get ready then. Make it fast."
I stood up and make my way at my closet. I began fiddling some clothes to wear. I chose blue rip skinny trouser and grey tank top with a vest. I settled then down and went inside the loo.
...
I dried my hair and put some light makeups on my face. After putting some on it, I glanced at my full length mirror and looked at myself. I don't look that bad.
I get my phone with me and went downstairs.
I looked at the clock, it read 9:02. We're late! I put my dirty converse and went to where my mum is.
"Now, we're late. You ready?" Mum asked.
"Yeah."
.....
* UNI *
We're here in front of the University. We proceed inside and looked around. It's so huge.. I saw few people roaming around the uni. What if people here doesn't like me? Will I have friends here? I'm stopped at my thoughts by my mum calling my name.
"What?" I asked.
"It's nice here right?" She said and looked around.
"Sort of."
...
We finally entered the office and sat down.
"What can I do for you?" The girl in mid 30s ask.
"We're here to enroll my daughter." My mum said.
"Just sign some documents and we're done."
* 15 minutes later *
My mum finish signing the documents and paid my tuition fee. We thanked the girl and went out the office.
"So what do you want for lunch?" Mum asked.
"Mcdo!" I screamed.
"Don't scream Audrey! You're like a 5 years old." My mum laughed.
"Oh well. By the way, where's Jessie?" I asked.
"Oh I forgot to tell you. Jessie is out with a friend."
"Is she joining us for lunch?"
"No. She'll be home at night."
We hailed a cab and proceed inside.
....
MCDO
We sat down and wait for the waiter to come.
"What do you want?" Mum asked.
"Nuggets and cokes." I said.
We stayed silent for awhile and my tummy began to grumble. Mum heard it and let out a chuckle.
"Is someone hungry?"
I'm going to protest but the waiter just came.
"What's your orders?" The waiter asked and winked at the me.
This guy seemed so annoying. I hate people winking at me. Sorry for that but I'm not used to it.
"2 box of nuggets and 2 coke." Mum said.
The waiter listed it all and left.
....
* 30 minutes later *
We're done eating our food and left a money at the table and went outside.
We hailed a cab and proceed inside.
