(Y/n's pov)

I was expecting to wake up in my huge bed next to my amazing boyfriend. But no, that's not the case. Not every morning is going to be like that.

At least I wake up in my bed this morning. I look around for Maurice before slowly sitting up. "Babe?" I call out.

I roll out of bed and grab a stray pair of pants from the floor and slip them on before walking out of the bedroom. I make sure to look in each room as I walk down the hallway and to the living room.

"Maurice?" I call out again, but still no answer. I look in the kitchen for him before sighing deeply.

"Where the fuck?" I mutter and walk to the front door, grabbing a jacket and putting it on. I walk out of the house, through the stage area and down the many stairs.

I look around the Underworld and shortly find some monsters staring at something. I squeeze past them to see Snik being held down by two stronger monsters. I then look to who is standing beside them. Maurice.

He stares at me for a moment as I purse my lips. "So you're going to tell me what happened?" I ask.

Maurice opens his mouth, but quickly closes it. He turns to one of the monsters. "Take him to the jail thingy," he instructs and the two monsters walk off with Snik who is cursing loudly.

Maurice slowly walks up to me as the small crowd of monsters clear out. I cross my arms over my chest and raise an eyebrow, waiting for him to explain.

"Um..." Maurice starts and scratches the back of his neck. "One of the monsters told me that Snik was having a hissy fit, because of the voting. I came here to find that he was piss drunk and harassing people, so I had no choice to lock him up."

"And you didn't even try to wake me up?" I ask and squint my eyes at him.

Maurice gave me a nervous grin. "You looked like an angel! I would never want to disturb that," he said and slowly touched my arms with his palms.

I roll my eyes and uncross my arms, turning around. "I guess you'll do a bunch of shit without me now? I thought we were in this together," I say almost teasingly and very so slowly walk towards the mansion.

"No, no. Not at all. You know I want to do all this bullshit with you," Maurice says and walks up behind me.

I stop and turn towards him. "It won't happen again," he says with a slight smirk.

"What are we going to do with him?" I ask softly and go beside Maurice.

"I guess keep him in there until he's ready to be let out," he shrugs as we start walking back to the house. I hum softly in response and  wrap my arms around myself.

"Do you still have that cassette tape someone made for you?" Maurice suddenly asks.

I gulp slightly and shake my head. "I gave it back to him. Why?" I ask, not looking at him.

"It had good songs...." I can sense him staring at me. "When did you give it back to him?" he asks.

I fiddle with the pocket of my jacket and slowly look up from my feet as we walk up the stairs to the mansion.
"A couple weeks ago. I might have snuck out to do it," I admit.

I finally look at Maurice to see that his eyes are squinted at me. I quickly get to the front of the mansion and get inside with Maurice following behind.

"And it's Mickey, isn't it?" he asks with a frown. I nod slightly and take off my jacket, setting it on the couch that we put in the stage area.

"He made you a mixtape?" Maurice says baffled before walking around the couch and plopping down. I sigh deeply and lean over the couch from the back.

I can see him piece it all together in his mind. "And they were fucking love songs," he says, shaking his head.

"I haven't gone back after that.....I don't think I'll ever go back," I mumble the last part.

"What happened then? What happened that makes you not want to go back?" Maurice asks and looks at me with beady eyes.

I stare into his eyes and inhale sharply. I could tell that he was pissed off and I was just about to add to that.

"He confessed his feelings to me. I left and I didn't come back," I say softly. Maurice just stares at me for a moment before shaking his head.

"Mickey is just trying to steal you away," He says and gets up. I stand straight and roll my eyes at him.

"Why are you worrying, Maurice?" I say slightly aggravated. "He's not the person I gave up a normal life for."

Maurice was letting his jealously speak and I really didn't want him to do some stupid shit out of it.

He walks around the couch and to the door quite dramatically. "I just need to clear my head," he grumbles.

I groan frustrated. "When will you ever understand?" I say and lean against the back of the couch, watching him.

Maurice opened the door and walked out, slamming the door shut behind him. I walk around the couch and plop onto it.

I know he wasn't really mad at me, but at Mickey. It's still annoying to see him, so angry about something that doesn't really matter. It's not like I'm going to run off with the kid.
