I was asked a question.

I was asked a question, it wasn't something I thought of as special, but I answered it in tune.

"I'm scared of the world, but I want to stay strong, what should I do?" The kind girl asked me.

I simply looked at her in shock, we had barely spoken before, so I was startled at the words.

"My family is kind, but I can't get along with my boyfriend, what should I say?"

At this point I realized, that she really only wanted advice, not a clear set of instructions written down on the white board like a teacher to a class.

"What do you want to know?" I asked in turn.

"I'm confused and scared and I want to feel happy, what do I say?"

At this I nodded, I understood where she was coming from.

"Tell them how you feel, give them your thoughts like a head on a platter. Don't be rash, be blunt, speak your thoughts, don't blind them with a blanket." I said.

"Is that all? It seems to easy?" The girl asked me suspicions were raising in her already doubtful eyes.

"You're someone who values the mental part of a relationship, your boyfriend likes the physicality, if your uncomfortable it's not worth the stress. Find someone that will listen and only interject you to tell you their concern."

"That makes a lot of sense. But what do you mean stress?" The girl asked me.

"If your frustrated, and you want to cry, your stressed."

She looked to me in confusion.

"Have you ever wanted to throw your fists at the wall, to burn someone down with spark filled words?"

She looked to me again. Realization slowly painting on her face.

"That is your stress."

"That's all it is?" She asked for confirmation.

"I was asked a question. It's up to you to think of the answer. What does it mean to you?"
