( not exactly 'art' art but it's a poem )

Growing up fat isn't easy, especially when you're a fat girl
I never saw myself as a main protagonist, I never saw myself as a heroine,Just the comic relief
The fat girl who only ever talks about food
And is always stuffing her face with anything she can grasp
And any jokes about her are always related to her weight,
Her looks,
Every roll and curve
Is a joke.
She will never be a romantic lead
She will never get 3 dimensional character development
She will only be a
stereotypeIn 2013, Steven Universe aired on Cartoon Network
and introduced amethyst, one of the 3
crystal gems
she was funny
she had complex feelings
she didn't care (except when she did)
and she cried.
she doesn't care if she's fat
she likes it that way
and sure, she would
stuff her face with donuts and motor oil
but
she had issues that weren't related to weight or
how much she ate in a day.
she felt as if she was spurned
dismissed
weak
a mistake.
and the show dealt with her issues in a beautiful way
and amethyst quickly became one of my favoritesthen episode 39 of season 1
introduced steven's mother
rose quartz (another big lady!)
she had thick arms with
arm fat
chubby cheeks and plump lips
an ample bosom
and thick, pink curls that nearly touched the floor.
she was graceful, elegant
and innocent but yet so
erudite
she could be funny
she was strong
she was large and in charge.
no one told rose what to do
she did what she wanted.
she fell in love with Greg, Stevens father
and they had several episodes
dedicated to their romance
and their love.
there were no jokes of
'why are you dating a landwhale'
'she must be desperate'
no jokes about being able to hear her
from miles away or
how her belly must reach Greg first and she arrives
10 minutes later
their love is pure and sweet
like raw sugar
or freshly unearthed jewels
Greg loved rose
Rose loved Gregand there were no jokes about it
