Chapter 9

Om did not see her around after the intimate moment they shared she was nowhere to be found , Did she leave him ? He knows what had happened between them was something he did not appreciate according to the status of their relationship, he wanted to give her time but when she started the act he had gone with a flow in passion.

Checking out every nook and corner he didn't find his firecracker Firecracker He mused indeed she is one with a smile he goes to check out ,after about a two hours search he was worried

"Where are you Gauri ?, Be safe" He prays

"Shivaay Rudra" Om shouts bringing the whole house down ..They both comes running "O"

"Om why are you shouting ?" Shivaay asks worried

"Gauri is missing Shivaay" Om speaks nervously

"What the hell Om ?" Shivaay shouts

Anika comes running hearing the shout "Why are you shouting Shivaay?, What's the problem Om?"Anika asks calmly

"Babhi Gauri is not here Did you see her ?"

Anika replies "Did you check the terrace ?..I saw ..." Without waiting For Anika to finish the sentence Om runs to the terrace ..

There she sat in a corner with her arms wrapped around her knees hugging herself and ever so slowly she raises her head towards the moon ,he watches her drink in the sight she looks angelic even with a tear stained face.. He wanted to hug and assure her that but instead he stays where he is and stares up at the moon ..

He takes slow strides and when he nears he sits beside her .Om sees her look at the corner of her eyes and again he sess her staring up at the moon .

"I am Sorry Firecracker" Om tells her in a soft voices ..Gauri gapes and jumps on her seat,

"What.. the ?." Gauri asks enraged rolling her eyes making him chuckle , Pulling her he makes her sit again that's when he notices that she hadn't changed her Saree it drifts him to the sensuous moment they shared seeing the paint she still had all he wanted is to help her clean in his own way .. Seeing him ogling at her she covers herself properly breaking Om out his thoughts , You are here to ask sorry not to make the same mistake again"He reminds himself , looking away from her he begins to speak

"I am Sorry ..what happened...erm ..between us should not have happened..." He tells nervously

A part of her was happy that he did accept that indeed he was wrong but another part was sad he thought the beautiful moment that they shared is a mistake..She humms expressionless..

"Why were you crying ? .. Is it because of ..That ?" he asks her looking into her eyes .

She shakes her head negatively. Om felt relieved he was guilty that he made her cry..*sigh*

"Then why Gauri ? " He asks concerned

Seeing the way she was looking away from him, he knew instantly she is not ready to share it with him ..

"If you don't want too .. no problem.." he says softly . She does not react, a pregnant pause followed...

"Om " Gauri whispers turning to his side

Om looks at her, her eyes reflects pain , he felt as if her eyes were pleading to him .. But he could not understand why?

Taking a deep breath Gauri speaks "Are you hiding something from me ?"

She saw him fidgeting his hands his facial expression changes indeed she was right she muses.

"No Gaurii..I ... I am not...Why do you feel like that ? " He fumbles with words

"Then Why are you stammering ?.."Gauri asks with a poker face ..

Moving a bit closer "Gauri ...I am not.."He replies

She lets out a sarcastic laugh,

"I am used to this Om I know that you are lying .. I am used to this After all being a b..."She bites her tongue ..

"What ..,What was that ..Being what Gauri?" he asks furiously seeing her expression he knew something was wrong she is hiding something from him .."

Are you hiding something from me..."

Seeing her going pale ...

She stammers"No...I.

" Gauri stop it..I know that you have some secrets which you are not ready to share with me like that even I might have ..So let's not talk about it..When the right time comes I'll let you know", She nods,

Right now that was the only way left for her to find answers for her questions... without disclosing her identity.Silence follows as they Stare up at the moon lost in their own thoughts .. After a hour Om stands up ready to go in he turns to the other side to see his firecracker sleeping with a frown ..scooping up in his arms he carries her to the bed when he was about to put he sees her holding his collar so tightly he tries pulling away then giving up he slips beside her cradling her in his arms

"I wish you never did it .. Please say that you didn't.." he hears her mumble but he could not put together what she was talking about ."..

"sshh Gauri sleep no one did anything " he whispers.

In the middle of the night "No don't please. stop it...please..."

He hears a shout he wakes up startle

"Gauri sshhh it's just a nightmare I am here to protect you Jaan sleep" He pats her head

"Who is goanna protect you from me?" He hears her murmur..

He was confused why would he need to protect himself that too from her ? He shrugs his thoughts aside and slips in beside her.
