His last moan filled the house and I smiled at him. I hear footsteps in the house and I blow them off at first thinking they are my father’s, but as they get closer and closer I get up and put a towel on. I close the door behind me and bump into Chase.

I feel myself stiffen. I feel myself go pale. “What are you doing here?” I asked him softly.

“I am here to take care of my baby. Didn’t you get my text?” He asked.

“No, I got up the stairs and threw my phone down the hall after I texted you.” I sighed.

“Why?” His face started to scan mine and I turned away.

“Because I didn’t feel like having people from school ask where I was.” I said trying to hide the biggest lie from the cutest boy in school.

“Well ok, but why are you in a towel?” He kept picking up on things. I had to lie, easy though because he’s not too smart and I had to do it fast.

“Shower, I thought I felt clammy so I thought to take a shower.” I said fast.

“Can I join?” He asked.

“No, you know I’m not ready to go all the way.” I said and then realized how hypocritical I sounded.

“We can just mess around.” He started to pull my towel off.

“No.” I groaned. I didn’t understand why I didn’t want to do the same thing with Chase that I did with Patrick.

“Yes.” He pulled my towel off. I screamed in fear of what I knew what was going to happen. He then covered my mouth before I could let out another scream for help and pulled me into the bathroom.

He shut the door behind him and locked it. I could just barely hear my door handle turn and when Chase took his hand off of my mouth I screamed for help.

I heard Patrick running toward the door and he knocked harder and harder.

“Who is that?!” Chase’s voice filled with fury.

“A cop you better open this door.” I heard Patrick’s husk voice.

“Patrick!” I screamed out for help. Chase doesn’t listen because he thinks it’s a lie and he knows the door is locked. He unbuttoned his pants and pulled them off. His boxers followed. I began to cry because I could feel him touching me in a place he shouldn’t, just as he began to go inside Patrick broke down the door.

I sighed and ran to Patrick who stood in only his boxers. Chase looked at him.

“You’re the police officer from school the other day.” Chase said pulling up his pants.

“Yes, I am.” Patrick’s husk voice was stiff and filled with hate.

“Why are you here in only boxers?!” Chase fumed. Patrick had no remark to Chase. Chase stood there brewing up a storm in his mind and shot out of his mouth. “You tell anyone about this I’ll tell everyone about you guys.” I gasped, knowing it was the only thing we could do, I agreed without Patrick’s consent.

Chase pushed by us and gave me a deadly look and I yelped and jumped closer to Patrick, who stood there giving me a deadly look as well. When we heard the door come slamming shut Patrick yelled. “Why do you agree to such a thing?!”

“I don’t want you to get in trouble.” I said and then out of nowhere I heard the door slam open and then closed.

I heard a soft moan and it sounded as if it were a mans. I think it’s my mom and dad going at it. Then I hear them getting closer to the stairs and I realize that it didn’t sound like my mother. I pushed Patrick into my room swiftly and I threw on a tank top and shorts.

I crept down the stairs to see my father and a familiar face lying on the table. I gasped softly and covered my mouth as I see my father on top of my principle. She had her shirt off and was pulling my dad’s off. I gagged and I saw her head snap up and she looked around. I ducked under the banister and heard her voice. “Jeremy,” her voice was whiny, “I thought you said no one was home.” He looked up and whispered. “No one is.” When they both looked away from me I got up and hit my head.

“Damn!” I yelped and covered my mouth. I get up slowly and I heard my dad and principle rustle around and pull their shirts on. “Hi daddy.” I smiled when I got up.

“Riley, what are you doing home?” His voice stern.

“I don’t feel good.” I say.

“Why were you on the floor?”

“I dropped my phone. Why is Miss. Ridges here?” I asked softly.

“She and I are talking about me getting a job at your school.” He lied, it was a horrible lie.

“I’m not stupid. I won’t tell mom. Just leave now please.” Miss. Ridges ran out the door and my dad looked at me, opening his mouth. “Save it.” I said and walked up to my room.

I walked into my room and threw myself face first on the bed I forgot that Patrick was still here until I felt hands on my back. I was sobbing into my pillow and yet I didn’t even notice.

“What happened?” His kind caring voice how I loved his sweet sweet voice.

“He’s cheating on my mom. I didn’t even know they were having problems. I am a terrible daughter. I should’ve seen it, but I was too absorbed in my own little world.” He rubbed my back as I continued to sob.

“Riley, you didn’t notice because you have an addiction.” He said softly, causally. An addiction?! You cannot get addicted to weed. I jumped up and just looked at him.  Staring at him, wondering…. Was this why he was with me, was this why he was so caring, was he that good of an actor, was he trying to break me of my addiction?

“Addiction?” I yelled.  I shouldn’t have fought but I did. He nodded. “You can’t get addicted to weed!” I screamed, tears still streaming down my face like a never ending waterfall. “Was that why you cared so much about me? Is that why you let my off the hook. Just to stop my so called addiction!” My head was reeling and he put his arm out to reach for me. I didn’t let him talk all he could say was “Riley, no, that’s not what I meant, let me explain.”

“Out!” I fumed. He started dumbfound. “Out!” I screamed. “And don’t come back.” His eyes looked of a scolded puppy dog and I felt bad. He got up and left my room. I heard footsteps down the stairs and the door close, but I never heard his car leave. I didn’t care though.

I ran downstairs locked the door and slide down it. I knew I was going to be home alone tonight. Mother was on a business trip and I basically kicked father out of the house. I sat there and curled into a ball and let myself cry into my knees.

I think about an hour later I got up and got undressed and got a steaming hot shower but sat in the tub letting the shower water hit me. I couldn’t bear to stand up right now. My head was spinning. I managed to get up and into my bedroom. I only managed to put on my under garments and laid in my bed, falling asleep.
