Stealing looks,
Little crooks,
Watching you from afar.
Then along came a star,
And you were entranced,
So you suddenly danced,
Hoping for a glance from that star.
But what you never knew
Was that we were through
Watching you love that star.
And when we left
Were you in distress?
Oh I should think so.
Even when you watched us go.
For when you caught up to that star,
And saw she was all for show,
Didn't you feel so low,
And wish us all back,
For it is a fact,
That you missed us so.
You now regret,
And probably fret,
That we aren't coming back.
For now we all know of the curse called empty love.
