1776, New York City.
"Don't forget, (y/n), milk." Carli called.
(y/n) threw on a smile as she walked down the street. Mainly trying to be ignored, seeing as she wasn't one for the 'rich' scene.
It was actually a quite drowsy and cloudy day, rain threatening to fall at any given time. She recognized alot of faces, some being in the paper, some that were usual around here, and her fellow low-key humans.
"Excuse me, Ma'am." A small voice said above her. She looked up, ready to be yelled at, but was met with a shy, quiet face she knew by heart.
"Aaron?"
"(Y/n)? Oh thank God it's you. I needed a break from loud, obnoxious people." He laughed.
His dark features we're perfect, and seemed to brighten the mood of the day.
"Who did you run into?" You continued to walk as he followed you.
"This weird kid. He wouldn't stop talking, so I bought him a drink. Then we ran into more loud people and they all started yelling. I left as soon as possible."
You smiled. Aaron burr wasn't one to make friends easily, but he had sidled up to you.
"So, where you headed?" He asked. You sighed." Carli did one of her weird experiments again. And now I need to buy milk." He grinned at you exasperated face. Actually, the store was pretty close. You guys continued to chat until you had yet to part.
"Alas, Aaron, we have bid good-bye." You sighed dramatically. He chuckled.
"Bye, (y/n)."
You waved and pushed open the store, a slightly cooler breeze running over your skin. You scanned the store, trying to be aware of any people you knew or even despised. Seeing no one, you ran to get your usual and be gone. You liked this store, but it was a rather unlucky spot.
As you exited the store, you sighed. It was already getting dark and you hated walking home alone.
