Elizabeth's POV.
Everyone that stood near me has gone through this pain.

What am I? Am I actually who everyone says I am? Why am I a wolf?

You're not fully human, Lizzy. You are a werewolf like everyone surrounding us. Oh, did I mention mate looks so freaking hot while he watches us? Purr.

Okay. Thank for clearing that all up, but how long did you know that Drake was our mate?

Not very long. Probably a few minutes before you knew.

Why is that?

It's because for normal werewolves, the inner wolf is the one who detects the mate and we tell the humans. But in our case, I wasn't able to communicate with you to tell you 'mate' like all wolves are supposed to do.

Why couldn't you communicate with me?

That's because you must first shift to be able to communicate or reveal your wolf to others including yourself.

Oh. Okay. One more question.

Yes?

Will I be able to communicate with you in human form as well? Or is that only just in wolf form that I can talk to you?

Well...it depends.

What do you mean 'it depends'?

Yes, you can talk to me, but in order to do so, we both have to have our mind links on. If not, then we can block each other out so we can focus on other tasks. We can block and unblock the links to communicate with each other.

Okay. Well I think that wraps it up for now. Will you answer more of my questions if I need them?

Of course. Your my human and without you, I wouldn't be here.

And without you, I wouldn't be who I am now. Thank you, Cally.

You're very welcome, Liz. It's alright if I call you Liz, right?

You can call me whatever you want. Even 'pain in your tail' will work for me.

I would never call you that! That is very rude and disrespectful in my nature!

Hahaha. Okay. I get your point. I'll talk to you later. Alright?

Sounds good.

Great! Bye, Cally.

Bye, 'pain in my tail'.

Bye my Wolfie.

And with that, I cut off our link and shifted back into human. My mother raced over and covered me up with a large blanket to cover my bare body. I shuddered at the cold breeze nipping at my skin.

"Come here," Drake demanded. I scooted toward him, inch by inch. When I was finally in his reach, he picked me up, sitting me on his lap.

"I'm freaking freezing," I muttered quietly.

"I know, I know. I'll try my best to keep you warm for now." His lips landed on mine softly. It was short, yet sweet.

"Come on. I know where you can take her. Follow me," Sam gestured. I looked at Drake, who was staring at Sam.
