" Aaron, do you like anyone? " -Kate
Kate said, leaning her elbows on the cheap wooden lunch table, placing her head on her hands. Aaron looked away shyly, side-eyeing her.
" N-not really.." -Aaron
Aaron extended his syllables nervously.
" Aaron, you're nervous. Judging by your side-eye and fragmentary way of pronouncing "not", I'd say you do. But who? " -Nora
Nora joined in on the conversation since it was just the three of them. Nora was the smartest one out of the three. She was the one kid who'd say: "You forgot our homework!" when the teacher forgets.
" Is it Jeanie? What about her?" -Kate
Kate pried, poking his cheek. Aaron slid his chair back slightly, flustered. He nodded quietly.
" What do you like about her?" -Kate
Kate said, as Nora quietly ate her fried rice. Aaron reluctantly replying shortly thereafter:
"...She's perfect." - Aaron
"Uhuhuhu~ This is gonna be fun." -Kate
Kate snickered playfully. A plan concocted within her head, she was beaming with happiness.
"...I don't like this..." -Nora
"You don't like a lot of things, Nora." -Kate
"Yes, because I've gained a third sense of stupidity since the day I met you." -Nora
"How rude!" -Kate
Nora beamed smugly, as Kate placed her hand on her heart dramatically and sunk down in her seat.
"You know you love me, Nora."- Kate
"..No."- Nora
Nora flustered lightly, uncomfortable by the word "love".
"Yes, you do." -Kate
"No, I don't." -Nora
"Yes you do!"- Kate
Nora rolled her eyes.
"Just drop it, Kate!"- Nora
"You didn't say no that time, it's been confirmed, this myth has been proven right." -Kate
"That's-- That's not how it works, Kate!"- Nora
Nora persevered, insisting she didn't love Kate.
"Why do I bother with you?"- Nora
"Because you love me~." -Kate
Kate smiled widely, poking Nora's cheek.
"Are you my substantia nigra? Because you make my dopamine run wild."- Kate
Nora was desperately trying not to snicker.
"THE SUBSTANTIA NIGRA IS ONLY ONE OF THE PLACES WHERE DOPAMINE IS PRODUCED, THEREFORE IT BY ITSELF CANNOT MAKE YOUR DOPAMINE 'RUN WILD'."- Nora
Nora yelled, her voice was hoarse from yelling at Kate every day, correcting every stupid thing she does to annoy her.
