"Wh-what are you doing" I questioned as I got dragged across a Ice cold floor. A blue sky fluttered above my eyes, the sun painting images of circles and other abstract shapes. My mind still hadn't accepted that I was awake yet and kept trying to drift back off into a soft slumber. "I don't know how it could have started" My mums voice appeared, though it seemed as it had floated from far away. "There's nothing flammable in there!" And that's when it hit me, a fire had started.

I opened my eyes sharply to see a small amber object swaying gently in the wind. "Its ok, it's only small! We can put it out now." A gruff voice boomed. He stepped on it and started piling out the thousands of boxes. I stepped back, to try keep out of the way, but I bumped into a tall figure. My dad. He was giving me a death stare, I tried to avoid it but it grabbed on to me, never letting me go. "Would you like to look inside our new house Dan?" My dad solemnly said, but I knew that wasn't what we going to do. I walked in slowly afraid of why might happen if I don't.

SMACK! The door had already closed and my father stood over me like towers on a street. I could feel the stinging sensation from where his hand had sweeped my face. "HOW COULD YOU LET THAT HAPPEN?!" My dad screeched just quiet enough for no one outside to hear. "It was an accident! I swear!" I said, an excuse that I knew wouldn't work. " YOU HAVE TO CONTROL IT! OTHERWISE. OTHERWISE." But he couldn't think.

He had stormed of into the room and I stood there, staring off into space. But I knew I couldn't think about the bad things, I had to get moving. Before I could put my foot on the stairs, my mum burst in through the door. "Bear, you have to be more careful." My mum said softly. She had never been harsh about my powers, unlike my father. She was my only ray of sunshine, but even she couldn't stop me from wishing that I didn't exist sometimes. " There's some new things in your room. Why don't you pop up there now?"

I had opened the door quickly, wanting to climb into to bed, but all I saw was a small mattress on the floor. With a sigh I closed the door swiftly and had a short explore. A few of my posters had been lazily plastered on the wall and a light bulb swung from the ceiling. In the corner lay a strange shape, like a sheep, sort of. As I walked over to it, the light revealed that it was my school uniform. Fuck. I was not ready for a new school, but I knew there was no point complaining, I couldn't change anything!

I spent the rest of the day in my bedroom, mainly worrying about the day that would come. The time went quickly though...
