Chapter 1-"And Never Found"

"You know this story, a plane full of people crashed on an island. They were lost. Only a couple of them made it off alive. None of them without the horrible memories. I am one of them. From a distance, I present myself like so many other average teenage girls. Sane. Pretty. Innocent. Smart. Get closer. Learn more, and you start learning the horrors I went through. My name is Abby Shepherd. I am lost. I thought that I was Lost and 'Finally found.' Boy was I wrong. Our story begins with me doing something that should be so simple, but then something happens while you're doing it. That changes everything." Abby says as a voiceover as She runs down the street when somebody bumps into her and she yells 

"Hey Watch it!"

Then the guy turns around and looks exactly like her "dead" father she then says confused and shocked "Daddy" The guy turns back around and keeps walking. She then immediately run back home. Could my dad be alive? He died on the Island When I left it. She thinks

"That was the moment I realized I can't escape the island. I have tried to live a normal teenage life. I have a boyfriend, I have my best friends, My best gay, But I can't be normal. No matter how hard I try. I can't be. So I try It's hard. Then a new mystery rolled into town. That mystery made it harder and easier to be normal." A girl (played by Sabrina Carpenter) and her mom (played by Cheryl Texiera) get out of the car and her mom says

"Now brace yourself. Helen The apartment small, but 'quality, always.'" They both say

"Quality, always."

"Plus, it's the only piece of property in my name and not your father's." They walk in Later, While they are settling in Bellhop comes in and asks

"Would you like some menus, ma'am, so you can order in?"

"Oh, no. I have been craving one of Cassell's cheeseburgers since noon. Is his place still open?"

Abby is in her room when her best friend (played by Trevor Stines) who is sitting on her bed and says

"Are you excited? Nervous?"

"Both. Tony, I haven't seen him all summer."

"Which is why nerves are acceptable, but we agreed, Abby... It's time. You like him, he likes you." She faces him

"Tony, I have a boyfriend. And If he likes me then why hasn't he ever said or done anything?"

"Because Adam's swell, but like most millennial straight guys, he needs to be told what he wants. So tell him, So you can finally break up with that dickass boyfriend of yours." Tony gets up and walks around

"Shut up, he's not that bad." Tony turns around and points at her

"So you admit he's bad!" He looks out the window and sees Adam with his shirt off in and his abbs showing (played by Michael Consuelos) "Oh, my God!"

"What?" Abby says as she runs over and looks out

"Game-changer. Adam got hot! He's got abs now. Six more reasons for you to drop that dick ass boyfriend of yours and take that Latino bull by the horns tonight." She rolls her eyes

Later, at the restaurant they are sitting talking

"So, what was the highlight?"

"Of my summer?" Abby remembers seeing her dad alive "The Frozen Broadway and movie cast party I organized, by far. At the end of the night, Idina Menzel, who is, as you know, my idol, says to me... 'Yes. Yes. Don't rush, Abby. It goes by so fast at your age. 'One summer can change everything.'"

"Wow. That's so true."

"How was working for your dad?"

"It was... Pouring concrete, every day, all day long. To pass time, I would start composing these poems, in my head. And at night, I'd go home, I'd write them down..."
