"Aaaaah Mummmmmm!!! Where's my bag!!!! I'm going to be late for school" Samantha started her day with her daily tantrums. The doorbell rang. Amy came to pick up Samantha nearly everyday for school, so Samantha picked up her bag, gave her mum a kiss and head for the door. The doorbell rang again. "I'm coming, I'm coming" screamed Samantha She held her hand out to open the door, and there standing by the door was Asher.
"Hey" Asher said as Samantha was staring at him suprised. "I was wondering if we could go school together today"
"Mmm.." Do I have to? she thought.
"Yeah of course she can! What a suprise"
Her mother interrupted.
"I hope it was fine for me to come and knock at your door today" said Asher.
"No it was absolutely okay, not that she go to school with anyone anyways. And you both should start getting to know each other" Her mother carried on. Why did she have to lie? Samantha thought. Her mother Stella, wanted to be close to the new neighbours- meaning the Chives- So she was trying to make Samantha good friends with Asher.
Samantha and Asher walked to school, at first with a bit of awkward silence but once Asher kept on ranting on about his old place, their conversation went smoothly.
"Samantha, I want you to know that we weren't the best of friends the last time we saw each other, but I want this last year of college to go well. So let's have a fresh start and be friends"
"Mmm, Asher, how could you ever say that? Do you really have a bit of hope that we'll someday become friends? because for me it's a no- ever since before you left. I have enough friends and of course my awesome boyfriend Kyle. You weren't here when he arrived, he came in year 11. So I'm sorry, but no"
They finally reached school and parted for their separate classes.
"Samantha! Sam! Where were you today!?" Samantha heard Amy's voice shouting behind her so she turned around.
"Hey Amy"
"Where were you today?"
"Mum made me walk to school with Asher today" She said as Amy's jaw dropped to the ground.
"Omggg!!! Lucky youu!! I wish it was me living next door to him."
"So do I wish that!"
"Appreciate it Sam!" She chuckled.
The bell rang, signaling to class as soon as possible.
"Come on, let's get to class before Sir gives us a lecture again"
Amy and Samantha were in the same class in school for every subject apart from Science. The class Asher happened to also be in. She walked in an caught Asher's eyes staring at her so she walked straight to her seat after giving Asher a quick wave.
Why does this lesson have to be soo boring, she thought. Every now and then she would realise Asher taking a sneak glimpse at her- making her feel a bit uncomfortable. But to be nice, she smiled and resumed to the lesson.
Tinggggg. The bell finally rang and Samamtha grabbed her bag and headed for the door- it was time for break- until she heard her name being called from behind her.
"Heyy...ermm...I was wondering if you would want to have break together today.."
"Ohh, Heyy Asher. Mmm, I was actually going to meet up with my other friends for break-"
"So what about Lunch?" Saif interrupted.
"Mmm.... Kyle will be waiting for me then"
"Okay. I'll see you then.." and then he walked off.
