You absentmindedly doodled in the margin of your paper, of some essay which was due tomorrow. You look back at the main part, and at the 5 sentences you've already done. You groan, sinking back into your chair, almost sliding off and under the desk. You pull yourself back up, and cast a glance over at the window.

Beyond your tan colored blinds, lies a shadow that looks awfully like a long, and pointy hand. You stare at it for a moment or two, before looking back down at your paper. You shudder slightly, and get back to work.

An hour later, you finally write down the last word and feel like death itself. You stand up, crack your joints and walk off to your bathroom. Before entering, you get pajamas and take a quick shower. You get out, put on all of your clothes and go out into the bedroom. You collapse onto your bed and roll yourself in your covers without even realizing the window was open just enough for something to slip inside.

A cold draft blows over you, making you shudder and wake up. You look at the window, where wind was blowing at the curtains. You make a worried whimper, and stand up and hurriedly shut it. You shoot a glance around the dark room, and decide to go to the kitchen, for some chips. You make it to the end of the hall, when you hear crunching. You stop dead in your tracks.

You can see the kitchen from here, a large mass is hunched over your counter, looking at your snack supply. You gulp, pretty sure tears where forming in your eyes. 'Why did I have to choose the apartment with a no dogs policy?' You thought, really wishing you had a great dane.

"Hey!" You finally call out. The mass jerks, and a face is pointed towards you. This... creature.. then moved towards you. It was as big as a large german shepherd, and had very long fingers. It leapt onto you, and snarled.

You felt your life flash before your eyes, as it began to maul you. It tore your skin, and then moved to clawing at your softer regions. You could see black pinpricks invading your vision. 'No.. No!' You think, trying to blink them away while helplessly kicking the thing. It's no use. Darkness came over you.

The End.
