There aren't many nights like these, covered with stars as we drift through the sky in the chariot she made of moonlight. Her Pegasus glimmers with stardust, and her hand grips mine. The night is crisp and chilly, but her presence despite her pale skin and white hair is warmer than the sun. Her aura glows moonlight next to me, and her eyes show galaxies with their full attention on me. I blush.
"Stop it. I'm blushing." I say as I feel my ebony skin get warmer. She smiles with dimples I liken unto craters in the moon.
"I like to see you blush." She replies and I sigh. The Goddess of the Moon does not belong with a high school student. But here she is, with all of her shine and glory. Under the mystical cover of darkness that she often calls home. But, she's still breaking all of the rules with me. Her sworn oath to live a life devoid of male companionship, yet her lips can tell you my secrets better than I can.
"Stop thinking so hard." She says interrupting my monologue. "Soar with me." She says. I smirk and nod unable to resist any request she makes. Ugh. I am hopeless. We ride through the atmosphere looking down on everyone asleep, missing out, unaware of the things that go on when the sun is retired. I see the fairies sprinkling the dust into the eyes of the sleepers. The flashes of lightning up on Mt. Olympus, and receive a dozen kisses from a goddess who once called it her home.
"It gets boring there you know. Not like the stories. All they do is fight. Which is why I became a huntress. To escape. But now that I've found you. Even Luna Woods doesn't feel like home." She rests her head on my chest, and my heart accelerates a mile per minute. She laughs as it splutters and panics at her touch in the silence. It takes a moment for her to break it, and when she does I almost tumble from the chariot.
"I love you, Uriah. My breath catches in my lungs as she utters the words I have been longing to say, and dreading the response too. Now, I can't even properly breath to get them out. I'm struggling with English when she stops me.
"I felt it long before you had the opportunity to say it. There is no need, just kiss me and let the stars applaud." Man, does she have a way with words. I kiss her softly, but with the passion of a thousand wild fires. I feel elated, like I'm on clouds. Forbidden love, always the most thrilling, and hard to evade. Stars begin falling in the sky as we kiss, creating a light show for all to see. I hold her to me, and pray silently for this to never end. I don't notice the angry cries of the huntresses. Not until we are falling from the sky.
