Sometimes I forget that people don't know the sensation of having nothing weighing you down. Not the pull of gravity or emotional stress of human contact, nor the responsibilities of life or the pain of heartbreak. When you're among the stars, there's absolutely nothing, not even the dying stars could cause any negative feelings. When you touch the moon for the first time, you feel like nothing can touch you. I went through intensive training when I got a job at NASA. They employed me right away when they saw my grades, abilities, and qualities, not to brag or anything. I knew then that being an astronaut would change my life, but not the way it did.
I'd been studying the sun for years. My job was to study the sun and its behaviours from a shuttle. I've been orbiting the sun for almost half of my life now, which is crazy to believe.
I am a Creature of the Sun.
