Dear world,
This is who I am. I'm sarcastic and annoying. I'm a hopeless romantic but I don't like being spoiled, all the time. I'm just a senior trying to get through the last three months of school. I'm just like the rest of you; except, I'm bisexual and my girlfriend goes to my rival school. I deserve happiness and love. I could be in your class or I could serve you lunch everyday. You would never know who I am truly. You would've assumed I'm straight because I've had boyfriends before. You would be shocked to see me holding hands with my girlfriend and you'd automatically assume we're lesbians but you would be wrong. You wouldn't know the real me. The me who has been through the worst kind of hardships or the me who doesn't let others see me cry. You wouldn't know I cry just because I saw a sad kitten. You just see a lesbian flaunting her gayness around for everyone to see. You don't know the feminist that stands up for the minority. You haven't talked to the girl who randomly writes nice notes for her teachers. You're just on the outside always looking down on someone because they aren't what you were raised to see. You were raised that I'm an abomination and need to be saved, except I am saved and the God I believe in accepting a me for me. You wouldn't know that though. How could you know? You've never spoken to me, you've just judged me from a distance, isn't that right? This is me. I'm a girl who loves musicals and tv shows. I binge watch stuff too, just like you. This is a girl who's went and seen BlackPanther three times just because it was so good and needed to be supported. I love all things you do; I just love my girlfriend and you love the opposite sex. That's the only difference between us. We might have different skin colors too but that doesn't matter. What matters is I'm human. You're human. We're all human. So how come I don't deserve love and happiness too? Why does it matter who I love? As long as it's two people it should be okay. I love who I love and you love who you love. From the mouth of Lin Manuel Miranda," Love is Love is Love is Love is Love..." Whether I love a male or a female makes no difference just as who you love makes no difference. We are all brothers and sisters together wanting to freely love who we want so let me. I won't judge your relationship as long as you don't judge mine. After all love is Love. So this is who I'm meant to be; THIS IS ME.
