What I've Lost

I look up in fear at Colin and slowly make my way towards the front door cautiously. Before I make it there Colin stops me and he pulls me to him.

"Hide behind me." He says cautiously and I nod clinging to him in fear. The others make their way down to the door and towards us. Finn and Logan see us and stand next to Colin to hide me more, Tristan opens the door cautiously

"Where is she?" Grandpa Strobe asks concerned and I move out of my hiding spot

"I'm here Grandpa." I say with fear and he pulls me into a hug.

"Princess you and Tristan need to go now, she's in London. My PI just informed me." He says worriedly with a hint of panic in his voice.

"We're coming with, we can take my jet." Logan says.

"No you can't." Grandpa Janlan says firmly.

"What? Why not?" Eli asks perplexed.

"The Hayden and Huntzberger jet can not go where they are going to hide. If Lorelei has a PI on you guys she'll know." Marcus says logically.

"We can get my family's jet and Finn's family jet is already here." Colin suggested.

"We will have to come when his jet comes here. We can follow." Grandma Francine says.

"I'm scared." I say, I didn't realize that I was still in my bikini top and my pants when I hear someone gasp.

"Rory where did that scar come from?" Grandma Emily says worriedly. I look at Tristan and he pulls me to him holding me tight while rubbing my back.

"Emily that scar is when she needed emergency surgery when Lorelei hurt her." my dad says with sorrow.

"Oh my god." Shira exclaims.

" Colin get your family jet here. Finn notify your family jet who will be going on it. The Hayden's and Gilmore's will take one jet and everyone else will take the other one. Finn, Colin, Tristan, Logan, Steph, Paris, Honor, Lane, Nathalie, Marcus, Janlan, and myself will take the DuGrey jet." I say.

"Are you all packed?" Marcus asks.

"Yes." Tristan and I say in unison.

"We'll take your bags out." Dad says and all the men carry the stuff to the car. I stand their as they bring the bags out and grandma Francine pulls me in a hug.

"Baby girl we won't let her hurt you." She assures me.

"I know but last time I almost died. I was dead for ten minutes. If Tristan wasn't there I would be gone because of her." I say crying uncontrollably. Unbeknownst to me the men came back in.

"What?" A selected few yelled in shock.

"You almost died?" Elias asked shocked.

"Yeah she did. She had to be on a breathing tube her injuries were that severe. She started shutting down and having issues breathing. That's when they realized she had a punctured lung. She was in the ICU." Tristan says sadly.

"That's why we came up with our family as the go between." Nathalie says looking at me adoringly.

"That's why when she goes out of hiding she will have bodyguards." Grandpa Strobe said with finality.

"We need to go, we must hurry." Marcus says urgently. I nod and give everyone hugs and I say I will see them soon. We make it to the car and Tristan pulls me close.

"You'll be alright princess. You have three more protectors here." Tristan says softly.

"No more sleepovers." I say.

"Love what do you mean no more sleepovers?" Finn asked curious.

"I usually sleep in Tristan's room because of the nightmares." I say and Tristan holds me tighter.

"You have nightmares?" Colin asks worriedly. I sigh and sit up

"Yeah first it was the day I left and losing it all. I found myself and when I found Tristan he helped me. He's a brother from another mother. His parents are my parents. His grandfather is my grandfather. I'm also an heiress to the DuGrey's." I say.

"What? Really?" Logan asks shocked.

"Yeah she is. She has one hell of a eye for designs." Grandpa Janlan says with pride.

"I love that, I'll work with my sister." Tristan says smiling at me. I look out the window and start to shake.

"Ror you'll be ok, we're here. We won't let anyone hurt you." Grandpa Janlan says honestly.

"I know, I've lost so much because of her. Ask Logan he knows of one." I say sadly with tears.

"Mate what is she bloody talking about?" Finn asks cautiously.

"I have no clue." Logan says perplexed.

"Logan think really hard and that question you asked me earlier." I say softly. A few minutes pass and I see realization cross his face.

"Please tell me she didn't?" Logan asked angrily.

"She did." I say through tears.

"What?" Colin asked curious.

"Mare are you talking....." He asked but I cut him off.

"Yeah Tris I am." I say looking down.

"What's going on?" Colin asked annoyed.

"Rory was pregnant.....Six weeks........She lost the baby........ She was in the hospital and the doctor said she didn't remember what happened." Logan says as a few tears escape.

"You were pregnant?" Finn asked shocked

"Yeah I was. I didn't remember what happened until last year." I say with tears.

"One night Mare was screaming. I went to her room to wake her up. She curled into me and cried saying she remembered that her mother  was the cause of her miscarriage. It broke my heart." Tristan says with tears.

"I still carry around the ultrasound." I say sadly.

"Can we see it?" Colin asks cautiously. He didn't want to cause her anymore pain than what she was going through.

"I'll show you on the plane." I say and they all nod. The rest of the ride was silent and soon we made it to the tarmac and onto the jet.
